I'd expect a one-year deal, a bit more expensive, and possibly with some contingency around settling the court fees in a timely manner.

What are the odds that they make it subject to a non-disclosure agreement, so we can't find out the full details. That would probably suit Wasps if the price has increased or terms changed to our disadvantage...

I expect no deal and ground share with Birmingham, because the view of all parties hasn't changed. When talks with Wasps break down (because SISU fail to rule out legal action) and SISU 'are forced' to take ground share option ("because they were given a deadline for saying yes/no") then Wasps look like the bad guys, and SISU take the moral high ground.
Hoping to be proved totally wrong, of course.

It’s been suggested a short term agreement for now similar to what we currently have, followed by more detailed discussion for a long term agreement. I think the EFL require ten year plans re grounds, if so I suspect they will want a “proper” deal to be in place this time next year, or don’t laugh a new ground being built.
If it's a short term deal similar to what has gone before, I can't see why it's taking so long
There must be more to it.

Lawyers, plus boh sides are going to try and get the best deal possible for themselves, aren't they? Blinksmanship !!

It’s in their rules. After Northampton we had a 2+2 year agreement which has just ended. I’m sure the EFL are flexible to a point but It’s in everyone’s benefit to have a long term agreement surely. We can’t be going through this farce re where we play every twelve months.

It isn’t their rules. I suspect you’ve had this rule told to you by Hoffman or one if his cronies who’ve told you that he can get a 10 year deal and that will keep the club alive

It’s rubbish

The EFL have regulations not rules and those regulations are subject to the discretion of the EFL Board. That means they can and do relax requirements as and when they see fit. (being sceptical of what they do or regulate i would suggest that is any time they are put under pressure to make a decision)

There used to be a 10 year requirement i seem to remember, but currently the regulations ask for confirmation of where a club is to play the next season - so there is no long term stipulation for any club.

Given that, then for me it is why this constant assertion that we must play within 6 miles of the city centre is a nonsense - no deal at the Ricoh and a ground share elsewhere agreed would mean the EFL using their discretion to allow it

Agree every 12 months is not ideal, but we do not want to be tied to Wasps' terms for too long.

We have been told the current business model is not sustainable in the championship, so we would need to change the agreement if we got promoted.

Just block and move on with your life mate. Dementia is not being kind to him.

Odd how you skulked off like a snivelling coward when your precious council came under fire.

It’s hilarious really. You are the biggest troll on this forum. You have a massive chip on your shoulder and clearly are a very bitter little man.

Anxious to find out if a Ricoh deal has been done yet, I dipped into this thread only to find fans bickering with each other. WTF.

I've been of the same opinion of this poster for some years. He/she only offers criticism and never anything constructive. One of the reasons I don't visit this forum too often - too much bickering and very little constructive comment.

To be honest there is a lot of bickering, but I think your remark about constructive comment isn't true.
Plenty of well reasoned posts and opinions as well.

I would prefer that things are kept behind closed doors and the right deal is done for CCFC - no one wants a repeat of this situation in 12 months time.

I'm sure fans will hear something more soon.

There's no moderation on here; just a clique that's hostile and dismissive. When that clique includes the Admin(s) you're in trouble. It will drive folks away. I've seen it with other types of forum.

I'm dismissed as a Wasps apologist by folks because it suits their position. That doesn't encourage debate and it's the opposite of what an Admin or Moderator's role should be.

Who could possibly accuse you of being a wasps apologist

Wasps on the up? I hope not!

See your priorities thread. The clique you mention are ccfc fans,, surprising on a ccfc forum.

Thanks for adding to the pattern of people trying to discredit and stick the boot in. Proves my point perfectly.

Priorities

Who next? Peeler?

It's the same inane nonsense that accounts like yours have tried for years when their shit gets pointed out.

Try the Wasps forum. They could probably do with the clicks tbh.

I'll stand by everything I've said and asked. Blaming other parties is easier than admitting the club you support has been run into the ground by successive owners which is the chief reason for its plight.

Same as dismissing or discrediting things I post based on an assertion that I have a particular agenda. Saves you having to make a counter argument or discuss the point in hand objectively.

Having people take that approach on a public forum is fine. That's life. Having someone that runs the forum doing that sets a sh*tty tone and discourages folks from getting involved.

I'm a city fan like everybody else, I won't not mention things just because I setup the website.

Read your posts to see your agenda. It's pretty blatant and weird for a ccfc fans forum.

You are welcome to setup a forum with dart, magwitch and everybody else who doesn't bother with ccfc but just wants to push an agenda. There's nothing stopping you.

...who doesn't bother with ccfc.

If you can't see how divisive this kind of sh*t is then you're beyond help. Also no way you'd say anything like that to someone in person which makes it twice as pathetic. F*ck this place.

Not half as divisive as some of the crap you have tried to push.

Not another flounce.

There's a common pattern with the flounces.
