Thing is, he’s getting backing from the States and is what Steve Bannon calls a street fighter. Bannon thinks he’s great. Tommy gave a boring lesson on Trump and Hillary in London at the Brexit demo. I'd love you to be right but there does seem to be a move right over recent years. Most of it is happening abroad but it is creeping in here too. Far right will not be getting control but could be used in coalition or influence the centre-right further right to appease their more extreme voters. Many didn't take the Nazi's very seriously to begin with....
I've long felt that although there is a large following of left-leaning in this country it rarely gets control because it's so split up - Labour (+Co-op), LD, SNP, Green, PC, TUSC etc whereas the right has been Conservative, DUP in NI and usually one other extremest party which changes as each is shown to be quite racist (ie BNP, UKIP). With the Brexit party now joining they could be the replacement for UKIP but part of me wants more right wing parties to reduce the Tory influence, but then the danger is that they'd either lurch to the right to counteract it or would look to form coalitions with them turning them to the right as well.

Of course it's centre right - it's a staunchly capitalist country. The point was it's going beyond that towards extreme right with racism etc.
It's not a lot of people find left wing policies abhorrent (except the extreme left) it's those that are brought in to implement them. Far too often they do it for their own ends and with the intention of becoming the new elite rather than disposing of it. End up becoming dictators who come down hard on any criticism and/or line their pockets.
As for the problems in society, far too many are blind to the fact that it's those with the power on the right that are far more responsible for their plight than things like foreigners. The amount scrounged in benefit fraud etc is a pittance compared to the super rich avoiding tax. "Coming over here stealing our jobs, undercutting us on pay" etc. Far more jobs have been lost by companies moving abroad than foreigners taking jobs here - is that because of foreigners, or the capitalists wanting to make even more money they don't actually need? And who employs the foreigners on cheaper wages? Yep - capitalists once again looking to make a quick buck. And who keeps putting prices up despite making profits? You get the idea....

If you drew up a list of reasons why Corbyn will never be elected “Corbyn loves terrorist” will be last item on the list. The fact that it’s your go to speaks volumes about you. Ironically it’s the current government that has allowed terrorist to influence government like never before.
