Do people think SISU will actually drop legal action? I just can’t see that myself. It’d be great to finally concentrate solely on football and not politics.I think the majority have heard that talks are positive. That doesn't mean Wasps aren't/won't move goalposts.
Coventry City Football Club can confirm that it is still in discussions with Wasps Holdings Limited regarding extending our current license to play at the Ricoh Arena.
There have been a few hurdles along the way, but we are all working hard, and are continuing to work hard, to overcome these and reach an agreement to play at the Ricoh Arena, therefore avoiding the need to groundshare.
Details of discussions with Wasps Holdings Limited are confidential at this stage, due to mutually signed confidentiality agreements, and we will update fans as soon as we are able to do so.

Technically there is no legal action from SISU at present since the judgment was delivered in court, hence why talks have been able to happen between CCFC and Wasps.
But will they start another? I guess that’s my point. I sincerely hope not.

Can you see wasps entertaining talks if they don't?Do people think SISU will actually drop legal action? I just can’t see that myself. It’d be great to finally concentrate solely on football and not politics.

I’m just astounded, that after all these years, that SISU don’t have further legal action planned.

Anyone heard anything regarding an announcement? Gone v quiet
Fuck wasps
Looking forward to the Vodafon logo already
Not sure where they can go with it tbh, they could submit a fresh appeal on new grounds, but can’t see the point of that.
They can’t appeal the current decision to Luxembourg as it has to have reasonable doubt in a UK court which it don’t.

That would be one of the more farcical things to buy into in this whole charade. 'oh look, there's no legal action *now* so there never will be right? Ha ha ha'
Next we'll be offering money for the club based on fuiture player sales that may or may not happen...
The thing that makes me a bit more hopeful Rob is the positive comments Robins has been making recently after his meeting with Joy SeppalaUnfortunately I think this is one of those cases where no news is not good news
The Vodaphone tie up might actually be good news for us
I've not heard anything but Coventry City are on the up and has a good profile - something Vodaphone might want to get involved with
We'll see soon enough but if the stadium is being upgraded (I guess it may be 'The Vodaphone' shortly) it must be good for us, especially if money is to be spent on the playing surface
And that we’ve started our transfer business? The thing that makes me a bit more hopeful Rob is the positive comments Robins has been making recently after his meeting with Joy Seppala
I hope you're right although he will toe the party line as he is a non-exec board member of OtiumThe thing that makes me a bit more hopeful Rob is the positive comments Robins has been making recently after his meeting with Joy Seppala
Which would make sense as to why the council vote on Rioch matters was voted for by all , meaning if Sisu want to go after someone in the civil court , they would have to take them all to courtI think any further judicial review would have to be on something current. Rules are attached below. Time limit is usually 3 months after the event or grounds took place
Practical Law UK Signon
Its hard to think of grounds linking the Ricoh and Wasps in to it and judicial reviews are to challenge public bodies not private companies. If there were grounds for a new appeal on the first cases then i suspect they would now be out of time and even weaker than the original weak cases
As i understand it the chances of an English court referring the latest case to Luxembourg are pretty much over. Could SISU go direct to the European Court, as i understand it then it might be possible but unlikely. If they did then the time European Courts take to hear cases would mean this rumbling on for many years
Only place i can see they could go is the civil route, arguing that their businesses and investments have been unduly and deliberately hampered by the actions of others. That would be costly time consuming and messy. Going to be hard to prove that SISU were not in control of their investments or businesses and therefore the main driver in any decisions concerning CCFC , or that others were not entitled to make the decisions they did independent of CCFC or SISU. Any action has to distress Wasps i would think so grounds are even more restricted
Like you say i cant see the point, or it being successful.
I do however suspect that the reason for any delay in a new deal is that further court action is being considered and that SISU are not prepared to provide assurance that they will not take that route and put the dispute to bed so wont agree any deal just yet
Why do all Wasps sponsorship deals seem to not involve them getting any money? First it was the WiFi with Ericsson and now getting a decent phone signal with Vodafone.

Edit - not sure how that works as non-exec usually means not employed by - perhaps OSB can shed some light as I may have this confused. I understand he's on the board, but has no shares I think if what I'm told is right, but tbh way above my head!
Unfortunately I think this is one of those cases where no news is not good news
