I still have to go to Heartlands quite regularly, that takes me around 45 minutes each way from Warwick. I reckon St Andrews would add another 10 on to that. What about parking?

It says there are parking spaces in the ground but only 300 - though I’m sure they’d be made available.

Also parking sites are advertised on match days as 10 minute walk to the ground

On its website it advertises streets to park in as well and crowds would be a lot smaller so it would be fine I think

Isn’t it something to do with their pitch though? They’re having an artificial pitch laid and football league clubs aren’t allowed to play on that sort of surface... or something like that.

The club could also maybe think of a big screen type scenario somewhere in Cov for those that want to help and support but can’t make it to where ever the ground is

They could charge a few quid and have f and b there as well , it would be more revenue, of course a venue where the council do not benefi in any way and takes people from going to watch wasps

The atmosphere when I went to an England game one was brilliant especially with a beer !

Personally I won't follow CCFC at home games outside of Coventry, especially St Andrews. 3 generations of my family had season tickets this season, we really enjoyed it because it was CCFC in Coventry, it was home.

I would never have that comfortable feeling in some other teams stadium watching a home game, it repulses me.

Bit different though when we still have the badges and photos up and the seats are Sky Blue and having alighted from a Sky Blue bus or helped support a Coventry pub beforehand...... the thought of playing at St Andrews in the arse end of Birmingham is not appealing.

Didn't go Northampton, will follow the club wherever this time. We're the ones there for negotiation, they are the ones kicking us out.

Even if I can't go I'll buy a ticket. If they're significantly reduced I'll buy several. I'll bring friends to games and buy tickets for them. I will buy merch, I will by ifollow.

I'm not a wealthy person, I'm always skint, but I do allow myself enough money to support the club. I will ensure that my financial contribution in no way reduces because of this.

Buying a ticket even though you won’t go? Don’t go over the top about it, if you can’t go just don’t buy a ticket. There’s a show on at the RSC later today (a theatre I regularly attended) but I can’t make it due to other plans, will I still be buying a ticket? Of course not!
You claim not to be a wealthy person, well maybe instead of buying a ticket not to go, put that money to better use elsewhere. If you are planning to go and buy a ticket all well and good.
Just wondering if you are single or have a wife/family as football for me would come secondary to that regarding money etc.
Just for the record I will be only attending away games. Is it a cost thing-no. Is it a distance thing-no. I live just outside Stratford so it’s probably about the same journey time if it is St Andrews. Is it morally based-yes.
Won’t be making a big issue about it though either way and while the Sky Blues are playing “home games” I will be enjoying my own footballing activities in the MFL and of course checking the score at full time.

That’s the way I feel about it now as it stands. It was similar when we went down to L2-initially I didn’t go for a verity of reasons. Among them being I was fed up of the losing mentality, the politics, price increases (went up but playing at a lower level!) and a few other things.
We started reasonably well and I also missed it which resulted in (not just me) going back again.
Same might happen this time but that’s how it is as it stands now.
Other people who are hell bent on going come what may might change their minds and not go at the start of the season if other things happen/come to light.

FWIW I don't have a problem with you holding that view. You're not asking / demanding everyone to agree with you, and that's the difference. As long as we all keep it like that, it ought to be OK.

Yeah which you are entitled to, my point is just that when people make those statements (like nopm etc) and that its about morals they end up breaking them and doing u turns.

Then it dilutes it when there's the next song and dance about morals.

So what is the alternative to playing elsewhere? Sisu here or not, that EC complaint against the council will roll on. If state aid proven, who will benefit? Definitely not CCFC if Sisu are gone, merely doubtful if Sisu still here. Going to away games only, financially supports other clubs, helping them be more competitive, so not supporting the team in the long run. To answer my own question, a sit stands the only alternative is that we play nowhere and cease to exist. If that happens, and state aid IS proven, how will you feel then?

For me its nothing to do with the distance. I already travel over 160 miles to each home game. That fact this is Coventry City, and we are playing 18 miles away. For me I'll never have another season ticket whilst we are playing outside the city. Let's be honest would we have ever come back to the Ricoh if Northampton had been a success with say 7 or 8K for home games. I am still hoping some common sense takes place, althought not that hopeful.
