Yep, always amazes me. Managers like Mark Hughes can get sacked job after job and still get offers. A 'big name' seems to be the sole reason for hiring.

Referees? They are scrutinised every week they are on the pitch and are constantly assessed. If they have a bad day/game they can be taken off a fixture.

He did well for a year or so. The complete and utter failure that happened after that outweighed the good though.

He achieved what the owners wanted a top six finish so may survive but I would imagine he had the budget of a top half championship side to achieve it, might be a bit less next year

I feel there's been a bit of change over the last 18 months, down to Champ level at least. Manager's like Allardyce, Pardew, Moyes have been unemployed for over a year. Think Hughes will be added to that list too now. Seems to be a move towards younger managers both domestic and foreign.
