Morning all, Blues season ticket holder here.
Firstly , all the best for next season and welcome to Blues . I think the vast majority of our support is respective to supporting another club (with one notable exception). Shit ownership is affecting many famous old clubs (we have had, and continue to have our issues too). Hope you get the egg chasing version of MK Dons out of your city sometime soon.
Street parking around St Andrews is ok in the main. The streets around Small Heath get very congested with local traffic (non - football) , my advice would be to park in and around the Digbeth area. When parking here you also have the added bonus of some cracking traditional pubs. Digbeth is on the rise and , in my opinion, is the best area to drink either pre-match or for a night out in the proximity of the city centre.
One point of caution , if parking around the back streets of Digbeth , is do not obscure any roller shutter doors / obvious commercial entrances - I have witnessed a car been removed
by a fork lift truck after doing this.
The Ibis hotel close to the ground offers parking for about £7 (that's what it was last season).
Lots of people also park on Morrisons car park. I have done it myself for midweek games and the only issue is congestion getting out afterwards. I'm not aware of anyone being ticketed for parking here but that is only to my knowledge - please don't take my word as gospel, Id be amazed if they didn't start doing that in the near future to non-shoppers.
I have read on your other threads the discussions that you've had about train travel in to New Street . This is an excellent choice as you'd have to walk directly through Digbeth en route to the ground.
One train option you may not be aware of though , and will suit your Warwick/Leamington/Stratford based fans is the local train service (Chiltern I think) to Bordsley. This is a little shit hole of a station that is only used on match days. It is located about 5 minutes walk from the stadium.
All the best , have a good season.
