The upfronts (where US networks show off their new shows to advertisers) are over and there's not much that looks even worth a second glance.
Fall TV 2019: Watch Trailers for All the New Broadcast Shows

Same old same old. A reboot of Party of Five and 90210 returning with the original cast. Not sure who they think was waiting with baited breath for that.

Only thing that caught my eye was Prodigal Son. Micheal Sheen as a serial killer who gets caught when he son is a child. Child grows to be a profiler.

Anyone else watching Good Omens on Amazon?

Wasn't at all sure for the first 20 mins or so, but then felt it improved as the first episode wore on and I was laughing by the end. Now on the second episode and am really enjoying it.

It has good reviews too. Michael Sheen and David Tennant are both hamming it up to the nth degree.

When They See Us - Netflix. About the wrongful convictions of a bunch of young black kids in the US.

Bloody brilliant. Recommended.

Stunning piece of television. One of the best things I have ever seen I think.

95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Will surely win lots of awards.

Otis/Matthew - I’ve not watched when they see us yet (next on list !) but worth tracking down Central Park Five documentary from a few years ago.

Ps other good docs - Operation Odessa, last breath and legend of cocaine island (in that order)

I think I saw that documentary and confused it for this. Watched the first couple and will finish it later.

Wife in tears watching this.
The interview in the Oprah show afterwards with the director is very good, she comes across brilliantly.
This is the penal system we're heading towards which is frightening

Not really new but I'm rolling through 'Master of none' at the minute. Really funny at times and brilliantly put together.

Not watched it yet but got it on my list. There's 70 plus issues of the comic, wonder if the 8 episodes cover the whole lot or they've left enough for future seasons.

Up to episode 4 so far and am really enjoying it.

I was beginning toget a little tired of superheroes to be honest, but this is so refreshing and a great little twist on the standard superhero premise.

Is it suitable for a 10 year old?

Is it in Italian?
Yes but dialogue is short and sweet so subtitles not a problem, i absolutely love this series, bleak as hell, not a sniff of joy at any point, so many unexpected twists and turns. I have a serious problem with people who might not like this programme!!!

Couple of Comic-Con trailers, seemed a pretty quiet year there for new shows.

One for the Trekkies, not a huge Star Trek fan myself but used to watch The Next Generation on BBC2 so will probably give this a go.

And this looks like it could be interesting. A BBC / HBO co-production. Hopefully means that it goes straight to the BBC rather than Sky Atlantic.

yes english subs you get used to reading them its very good

I've heard good things about it and I'm looking for a new series so I think I'll give it a bash, though I am a bit dubious about taking on board a recommendation from a man with a can of Carling in his avatar!
