Last year, there were so many of you from SBT that made a tremendous difference to individuals and their children go to watch us come so close to making the play offs and enjoying some amazing games and a few we could all easily forget but I know from the feedback of those that we helped, regardless of the result or how we played, we created moments of happiness for mother’s, fathers, sons and daughters that wouldn’t have been achieved without your kindness.
It started with me being lucky enough to have some pennies from a work bonus to directly help out a family have their first ever ticket and then we raised enough for over 6 sets of season tickets and a sizeable donation to the family zone for them to provide the facilities on match day.
I know our situation as a club is different but if I set it up again, would you consider donating? If there is an appetite to do so then I will set up a funding site, ask people to nominate via here, ask the club if they will help again with a free season ticket for an Adult + Child again and then use the wise people of here to help choose and provide individuals with the opportunity to have a ST when they perhaps wouldn’t have had before.
Hopefully a few of you read the quotes last year and some more recently, regardless of our circumstances, helping out individuals enjoy time together on match day with a parent/guardian or friend is something we have all enjoyed and made us smile over the years so please let me know and if good, I will start the ball rolling.
A yes or like the post and if we have enough, will sort this week.
Some of the quotes from last year:
"Ah that's the best news we've had in a while, we're so grateful. I told my eldest the news this morning and he was so excited, jumping around the room. He also said ''tell the people I said thank you"
And yes it's great that other fans have done this, it really does show that there's good people out there. I know me and my son's are very thankful for it, along with anyone else you may be helping"
"Oh wow, thank you so much, you really have no idea how much this means to me and my boys. We're absolutely elated, thank you"
"x was over the moon with the news. He was really happy. His daughter was chuffed to bits and MY son was happy too as he now has his cousin going to games with us. A whole host of happy people."
"Thank you so much. We should all be really proud of other CCFC fans. Great bunch."
Thank You
