He was part of the consortium when they made their last bid, so does that mean Wasps were not involved then?
What exactly was Wasps involvement? To discuss CCFC playing at the Ricoh in the event of a successful takeover, or as willing partner in the bid? He really isn't clear on that. Shouldn't he know exactly how they were involved?
Was it Wasps, or the owner operating independently?
Was Overson playing both sides in this? He is close to CCFC after all...
He clearly had some involvement in the consortium, so If he's now out, why not make an approach of his own?
I hope that we don’t go to Birmingham at all, that a deal is reached that means our club can play in our city. I am sick of CCFC and the people who support it being a pawn used by others to try and further their agenda. I would hope that both Wasps and Sisu go bust, clear off and leave our club to be run and looked after by people who love it.On a personal level, I hope we stay at Birmingham for the whole season, just to see where wasps are at come this time next year financially, fuck them
Do you think Duggins would have remembered what Hoffman said a couple of years ago? It certainly didn't sound like it the way he was going on about Gary and Joe.
Not sure how you would know exactly what Duggins has or hasn’t remembered from the last two years but clearly there’s not enough facts flying around for you and for some reason you need this conspiracy theory. So not as to detract from the facts I’ll leave it there.
Must mean the one that's turned out to be true. What conspiracy theory?

Who is that cov safety bloke. He's definitely in the know.
So where does this leave Duggins and his "If Gary and Joe owned the club there would be a deal done tonight at the Ricoh".
How did he know that? He wasn't involved in discussions as it's between Wasps and the club.
He's the bloke who terrorises the council about road signs and policies all day every day. They must hate him!
No! Let him carry on spouting. He's digging a nice hole for himself.why is Duggins, leader of the council AND a public servant, even commenting an a business deal between two private companies?
He needs to keep his fecking beak out of it, abusing his position could end up costing him.
I am genuinely puzzled why someone who clearly is very successful - Hoffman - has made such a pigs ear of it - the consortium is just a farce
He also said they were putting money in.I would love Mr Overson to explain his meaning of "helping" he said they were not directly involved was it just that they were asked to give a ballpark price of what the Ricoh would cost with or without add- ons or did they give information which only them and Susi would be party to . The first point yes the second no. if it was the second I see why he pulled out . The "definitely" at the end is the bit I don't get.
I presume you have left a "don't" out of your statement I live outside Coventry but by all accounts if the amount of people not paying the council tax there joined forces with our supporters it wouldn't need Susi to take them down.Don't know why you Coventry residents and City supporters stop your council tax and Fcuk the council over?
If I lived in Cov I would be part of it.
Sorry I missed that I see "helping" is that the "financial" or is it somewhere else.He also said they were putting money in.
No, the cult of the executive gets you a long way these days.Northern Rock; failure of NBNK; Hastings Insurance; Monzo. Hasn’t all been plain sailing
No, the cult of the executive gets you a long way these days.
Sad that it takes Overson coming out and directly saying it before the Telegraph
Certainly explains why Hoffman said the other day he’s not bidding again.
Maybe finally the Telegraph and CWR will wake up and actually do their jobs.
There have been threads about it. Tony started one a few weeks back for example. So you knew all this? Cant remember you mentioning it?
Actually got a bit in common with footy managers when you think about it. Do well for a little bit somewhere, get head hunted and then sacked for not replicating the success, get another 6 jobs that all fail while everybody still talks about the 1 success. No, the cult of the executive gets you a long way these days.
The Wasps Alliance are going mad on Twitter. That numpty JimmyHillsChin keeps posting excerpts from the JR as if they have any relevance to things that have taken place in the last year to 18 months. It's embarrassing.
They are obsessed with it. It's as if they have just been given a JR document to memorise and nothing else matters.
Why the fuck would the JR from years ago be relevant to if Wasps were involved in the takeover?
Because the PR game is always about attacking the opposing party rather than the issue at hand, see your post the other day with the Weber Shandwick MO.
Then the trust rush to make a statement saying they never saw wasps with hoffman.Joy Seppala makes accusation that wasps were involved in Bid & wanted control of CCFC - wasps issue reply stating categorically wasps were not involved & neither was the wasps chairman, and oh look Joy & big bad SISU are lying again they say
Person directly involved with the bid & one of the financial backers confirms he pulled out because wasps were involved in the financial backing & its stated they were to take ultimate control of CCFC - wasps decline to comment
hmmmm
