My take:

Both Marosi and Wilson look good with their passing and with both feet and is integral to how we start our attacks. Marosi made a good save in second half.

McFazdean & Rose both won headers, looked confident on the ball - along with Hyam we have some quality there.

Pask, a nice footballer and can see he can cover several positions.

Allen - looks like he will be a fab signing. Quick, athletic and dynamic, very impressed.

Kastaneer, a big lad, powerful, strong and fast, will only get better.

Jobello, I was mightily impressed with his crossing, with both feet on both wings he whipped some great balls in, if we had a striker who could score headers then they would have had a few in that first half. Excited to see him and Kastaneer link up more like they did for first goal.

Dabo, very fast and strong, some good touches and confident, think he will be impressive.

Considering they have had only been training a week, we carried on where we left off in terms of playing style and the new players have I integrated into that impressively well considering how little time they have been together. Will only get better and more fluid.

Also a mention to Eccles, who I thought was very very good in that first half, calm and assured.

A number 10 and another forward would be the cherry on top of the cake.

Oh and the new kit looked amazing!

Some of the sarcastic abuse thrown at Conor Chaplin on the official CCFC Facebook is quite disgusting and the stuff of a 5 year old’s mentality. Stating the obvious in that he did not score in the time that he was on and mocking him for that, but conveniently not mentioning that Hiwula, Bakayoko and everybody's favourite Bayliss also did not score despite coming on at half time with fresh legs against Leamington

Didn't Robins make a comment at the kit launch last night about the players seeing that kind of thing?

A guy on twitter has tweeted a comment on CCFC saying 'Chaplin is Sh*te' and Chaplin has liked it! So clearly these sort of comments are being seen by the players! It's embarrassing.

What a idiot. If Chaplin was thinking about going to Barnsley, then reading that will help make up his mind.

I thought Chaplin should have scored his 2nd chance but None of strikers really finished well today excluding max with penalty. Dabo didn’t impress me as much as pask did at right back. Overall a good game and enjoyable afternoon

Pretty sure most of the posts on here last season will have already done that, even Nick wanted MR to leave and take Chaplin with him.

Definitely a lot of encouraging aspects today. Centre back in particularly we have an embarrassment of riches I think. One comment I would make in relation to Pask... Whilst he didn't play badly he doesn't look like a full back to me. I think he will end up playing as a centre back or possibly even a holding man. I would still like us to get a talisman such as Eaves or Marquis. Jobello put in three crosses that a strong centre forward would have thrived off. I loved how his first thought is to get the cross in on the run. Looking forward to seeing Kelly and Allen play together as the platform for the midfield. Looks like they should have a nice balance.

Comparing this to the Sutton game last season we are like a different, higher league side. Having a fully fit and available squad for pre-season will be a huge advantage I feel. The new signings definitely seem to be an improvement on those they are replacing and, important, are our players. First half especially was a high tempo and a lot more crosses and quick football was played. The contrast between Thomas last season and Jobello/Kastaneer so far is huge. Both think nothing of running at players and getting a cross in. Jobello assisted 2 of the goals this way. The 2 centre halves both appear good additions and Pask, although not a full back, is certainly talented. Allen for me was the stand out player. Drive, good passing and high energy show he will more than complement Kelly in midfield this season. The problem we have right now is who doesn't play.

Just got back in. Can only beat what's in front of you, but opposition were poor albeit they had key players out. We looked a bit disjointed at times but to be expected having barely trained together. Some decent performances still and bossed the game.

Hope you all got a flyer for the charity game!

Was it a higher standard than the Women's World Cup?

They probably do see the posts as their young and on social media too. I hope they can take pitty on these keyboard worriers and rise above it. Most of those giving it the big one are no doubt over weight, struggle with their sex life and wish they could earn the sort of cash our players do.

Some could even be on the wind up taking sad kicks from trying to make someone feel as bad and pitifully inadequate as they feel. Either way it says more about the poster than it does about the players.

Think he had a couple and put one just wide but didn't miss any sitters so I must have missed something?

I'm still not sure how he fits into that system, with those 2 wingers I can see bakayoko thriving the way he lays it off and makes a run into the box for the cross

There was also a good chance where jobello laid it across to kasta who had a good shot blocked

I'd like to see Jordy up top in a 4231 but as others have said it was more 433 today. Those having a go at Conor presumably either didn't go, dont understand football or because they think he's likely off as he looked really sharp. Perhaps not in terms of finishing but a bit more pace than I'd previously given him credit for and some very decent first touches to create space for himself.

Agreed, it’s just some idiot though. His reasoning was Chaplin cost money! Bloody hell!

But, are you being sarcastic about Bayliss there?!

Can Allen Kelly bayliss all play together as the 3 in midfield or does one need to drop out?
