No Interest Whatsoever (10 Viewers)

My sister must be unique as she has no interest in sport, not one sport whatsoever. Never watches Wimbledon which seems to be popular with females, and she wouldn't know that USA ladies have won the World Cup.
She hated sport when she was at school, and that dislike has continued till this day. Got me thinking what thing have I no interest in at all ?
For me it would be politics. Can't stand politicians, and just listening to them sends me to sleep. Other than that I'm interested in everything.

Just objects to get from A to B to my mind. I have zero interest in them and don't even understand the terminology, so when someone says something like 'it has twin carburettors' and look pleased with themselves,for me they could have just told me their Auntie Val has got two new warts.

So, cars, speedway, motor racing, monster trucks etc. I have zero interest in.

Motorbikes. Pretty much the same as Otis with cars but with Motorbikes. I even hate how 99% motorists are targeted about being mindful if motorbikes and blamed most of the time when in a collision with them, but it's the riders themselves flying down country lanes at over 100 and weaving in and out of motorway traffic.
I've no interest in motorbikes, or the people who ride them that try discussing them with you.

I'm with Otis on cars and motorsport. Does nothing for me and I can't really see why so many people are so in to it.

Rugby is another one for me. Can watch pretty much any sport but if rugby comes on I'm turning over straight away.

Another lack of interest is cooking and the obsession with food. I eat to live not live to eat. I eat what's put on my plate, and that's it. Fancy food and posh restaurants I couldn't care less about.

I can't stand all the reality shows on TV that make celebrities out of talentless nobodies. I also hate the throw away culture we live in where everyone has to have the latest phone or gadget, how can anyone justify paying £1000 for a bloody phone?
Sports wise I don't get rugby, baseball, basketball and anything to do with horses.

Hunting. Could never see the point of putting on camouflage and staying hidden in a tent for several hours just to end the life of some poor unsuspecting wild creature.
Fishing: Same thing. An absolutely pointless exercise. Just to to the supermarket and buy one!
Mountaineering: Is anything more pointless than climbing something just to get to the top so you can say you've done it.
Boxing: Two supposedly civilised 'humans' pumelling each other, and causing brain damage, for the enjoyment of a paying audience.
Skiing: Going somewhere really cold, strapping two long planks to your feet and seeing if you can break both legs. No thanks.

If you want to enjoy the outdoors, go for a walk and take your camera, 'hunt' for pictures and 'capture' an image.

Statistically you are wrong about bikes. Whilst I do agree with you about the speed that some ride at the vast majority of motor cycle accidents are caused by drivers pulling out of junctions that’s why the Police sponsor “think bike”.

What I do find strange is the team I work with.

All guys and yet none of them have a single interest in sport whatsoever. I get some guys don't like football, but I would say 90% of the time they like/follow another sport (Rugby, Golf, Cricket, F1 etc...). The team I work with... Nope, nothing!

I can't be the only one that finds this weird?

I drive a Ford Fiesta and it gets me from A to B. Couldn't careless about prestige.

I take enoggh interest to know how to repair the general aspects in times of need. That's about it.

Is it that the driver blindly pulled out in front of the motorbike? Or that the motorbike wasnt in sight when the driver pulled out but was going that fast he appeared out of nowhere and couldn't slow down? I'd say a bit of both in all honesty. It's easy to just poi t fingers at drivers for pulling out.
Happens to me everyday (not necessarily motorbikes) the road I live on, as I pull out on the the main road, to the right it bends round to the right, and with cars parked right up to the junction I literally cannot see up one direction until I'm on the road. Add to that people coming down at 40-50mph all the time, it's an accident waiting g to happen.

Fishing - My dad took me when I was younger. I get that people want to get away and switch off alone but I would much prefer reading a book than take time fishing, very dull!
Branded clothes (Trainers and sportswear aside) - I have the odd Fred Perry polo and Lyle & Scott jumper, but other than that I shop for non-branded gear (ASOS is my shop of choice) as its a better investment
Shopping - Related to above but I probably clothes shop 2-3 times a year. I know guys that have gone shopping together to the Bullring or London for new gear n a regular basis, bit weird if you ask me!

Everything else I will have some degree of interest in or willing to have a conversation about!

I think I, like the majority of us, have relatively only superficial interest (& therefore knowledge) of 99.9% of stuff around us in our world. Like cricket, never had any kind of interest in it really...listened to a commentary of the ashes in utter boredom for a while after a knee op many years ago. Rain stopped play. I became fascinated at the minutiae of how this might affect the outcome of the days play. The depth of knowledge some (i.e. experts in their chosen subject...that live & breath it - think Sir Alex Ferguson level) have about such stuff like the dampness of the grass & how it affects the spinner vs fast vs seamer bowlers, how the humidity in the air affects the speed & flow of the ball through the air.
Now ok...I still have no interest beyond seeing England's progress in matches. The point is that to most of us it is just a slow dull game. To those that love it & are involved they have more knowledge the deeper their interest goes. Most of us are too busy with the people & things (like paying bills) in our own lives to have more than a passing interest in other stuff...so much of what we spout in discussion & on forums like this is opinion in my opinion (see what I did there? ;-) )

Having said that I agree with virtually all others have said - especially the Celebrity culture we have. I get cross about that. Tom Hanks, seems good at what he does. So does Lewis Hamilton. I respect that, but I have no interest if they are alive or not beyond the moment I am watching them strut their stuff.

Agree on fishing and branded clothes and also, as someone else pointed out, celeb culture.

I went fishing once and I gave up after 20 minutes. Found it incredibly boring.

I don't think I have any designer clothes, unless George counts.

Some of them are very good quality, but I would never pay full price for them
£30 for a good pair of jeans for example £30 for a good pair of trainers £10 - £15 for a quality T shirt. They will last much longer than £10 primark jeans and a £5 primark shirt which will look crap after 1 wash
