I'd like to firstly say hello to all the sky blues fans that read this forum.
I've been a long time lurker on this site but have never contributed before but just felt the need to log on and give some big thanks and praise to mild mannered janitor for all the effort and time given to the season ticket fund.
The response to this fund from all you sky blues fans, and from fans of other clubs, is something you should all be proud of.

Name another club with the reality of playing away from home yet we don’t bleat or cry we carry on and still think of others who are on hard times and going through a bad time.
I myself as a few people know have been through a big operation and it was cancer related that had me on my arse for 3 months. To see your young one looking at you as you have not shaved for a week can’t do the normal things like we take for granted and it’s not the daddy you know but comes through it only to be helped out by fellow fans is something to be proud of.
Jimmy Hill and many many great people connected to our club players and manager alike would be proud of what we are made of.
The Coventry spirit from the blitz stays forever strong to this day.
The wave from John Sillet recently at Wembley said it all about what this great club is about.

Thanks all. Wish I was internet savvy enough to reply with a cool giphy thing!
I'm not Coventry born n bred, I was born in rugby, sky blue county of warwickshire, I can not declare I'm the biggest baddest city fan, but I am a Coventry city fan, I've never been to Wembley, I've never seen city play ManUre or liverpool and can not name all cov players over the last 30 odd years I've been a fan.
But they are my club, my team, and they always will be.

Shipley scored in the last game we played at the ricoh so will be forever remembered, just as much as claus jorgenson for scoring the first.

Christonabike. ..Brighton!
I used to live in Brighton and watched their fans travelling to guildford for their home games.
Wonder what happened to that club

Maybe I’ll try and buy pop and crisps for the kids one game, still have my programme signed by the players from all those years ago, the crisps and pop soon went after that game though.

Team effort and what an amazing amount, hopefully back to the club tomorrow buying up 70 season tickets, this work malarkey is just a pain, need to get my boss to give me more time off.

Thank you ' mild mannered janitor'
That ball you started rolling has gathered much support, some glory hunting arseholes that I know have actually donated to this even though they "support" other clubs.

MMJ, you have made many City fans very proud! What a fan base we have! I take my hat off to you! (and, yes, I DO wear a hat sometimes!).
I've just had a quick peek at the donations link and seen this from someone called Tim Carr, a Norwich City fan: "This is a great idea! I hope it goes well. Good luck for the new season! From a Norwich City Fan". He also donated £25! If that isn't bringing ALL football fans together, I just don't know what is! I am so proud of you all! Lots luv'n'stuff! x x (manly kisses!!)

Yep its done an amazing job of bringing fans together as well aside from the money raised and the good causes.

Is there any way of arranging some way of saying thank you to him at a game or getting the club too?
I agree. He deserves some sort of recognition from the club. It would be a great gesture.

No, sadly I am missing the first game, definitely no super fan, just an ordinary one like everyone else, we’re all equal, family always comes first and with the good lady working in a school office then it limits the times we can get a holiday together so apologies for letting you all down and not being there to cheer on the first win.

Safe to say there should be hundreds of no doubt warm, flat pints waiting for you throughout the season ;)
