First ‘Home’ Game Attendance (6 Viewers)

Obviously we’re not going to sell anywhere near as many season tickets as last year (although more than we would’ve, given the absolutely brilliant and selfless effort from MMJ, matched by the club). But how many match packs and individual game tickets do we reckon will be sold to Cov fans and curious Blue Noses ? The gate at the first game at St. Andrews will be interesting.

Predictions ? Spill ..

I think if the club get the marketing right, and maybe if they throw in a surprise appearance by Tawny Kitaen to boost some numbers then we could see 5,000 come to watch a barn storming win for the Sky Blues

I really hope we can get 4000, but think it could be nearer 3000.

Don't see how it can be that low. ST sales are approaching 2.5K with over a week of EB to go. Boddy was predicting 3K when he spoke last week. It might fall a little short of that, but with match packages yet to go on sale, advanced ticket sales, POTG and away fans (I think Southend might bring up to 800 with it being the opening day), I can't see how it can be lower than 4K, and likely quite a bit more than that.

Average gate is usually around 2 x ST sales isn’t it? Give or take?
Not sure it's as easy to extrapolate this time. Are season ticket holders the more committed who'd go wherever, for example? Also, will there be ru7bbernecking from locals?

How many did we sell at Sixfields? Was it ever released?
I was just looking for it. I was also lookijng for the rather darkly amusing article in their local paper just before we started, warning of traffic chaos as our thousands of fans descended, bringing Northampton to a standstill!

Best I can fine is this from 8th August saying we hadn’t hit 500: Coventry City reveal 90% fall in ticket sales

I think that still roughly follows the 50% of home gate “rule”.
