Robins mentioned they'd be a couple behind closed doors at the kit launch. One was at Villa. He did mention the other club but I can't recall.

Pleased to hear this as our pre-season looked very short. I notice Burnley lost behind closed doors to a lower league team and put a very strong team out. Bet they weren’t happy at the result being released!

Is it not to do with us not having our own ground? We have no where to play the matches. Sure I read it but might be mistaken.

The game behind closed doors is against Huddersfield, it is thought that the team to play Huddersfield will be close to our strongest side.

There will be first team players at Telford though.

Will Huddersfield wear their controversial new kit?

It's behind closed doors (along with another match) because pre-season was up in the air in terms of games because of not having a ground sorted. So the games are just to get minutes for the team again.

Not sure why that would've made a difference, we weren't allowed to play pre-season games at the Ricoh anyway.

It's what Robins said. He said the whole thing caused an issue.

I guess it could be because we had the threat of expulsion for ages...

That was the reason given by the club though? Because we didnt have our own ground and costs were prohibitive.

Even if so, I don't understand why. When was the last time we played a pre-season friendly at the Ricoh?

Doesn't really matter anyway. Friendlies are a crap watch and are only really there for the players to gain fitness.

Closed doors and reporting restrictions against Huddersfield. They think they are PSG and not this generations Swindon?

Has anyone ever tried opening the door to one of these games? Clubs always say behind closed doors but has anyone ever just tries opening a door so they can watch it?
