Whilst Bright did look good last season I can't see why Bayliss cant play that role at all. If he's free from the defensive duties that bogged him down I can't see why he can't do as well as bright did last year.

As time has passed, I’m more convinced Allen was the Bright replacement. We could possibly bring in a no.10 on loan as another option.

If we don't get bright, them 433 with Kelly sitting with Bayliss and Allen either side would be a great midfield 3 with a bit of everything to compliment each other.

I was getting worried that Bright would go to Birmingham then I saw Wayne 'the wicked man' Matthews from the Facebook forum say his mate who works at St. Andrews saw him walk through his office.

I now definitely think it's not happening.

That bloke is an absolute gift. One man couldn't could sum up the Facebook forum better.

Thing is in league 1 bright is worth the mill.
Have a good season and get promoted city could make up to 10 times profit on him.

No brainer to put the cash into somebody of his ability

I agree I can see Bayliss in that role as MR's back-up option. He'd play it differently to Bright but he could still be effective. He can carry the ball forward himself but can also play a good through ball.

I think Allen was brought in as a Bayliss replacement because he was either going to be sold or take up Bright's position if Bright didn't come back.

Bayliss will not be 10. He’s brought Allen in to play 3 across the middle. Allen played in a 3 for Burton.

Maybe. But of those three I'd still have Bayliss as the first one to be given 'free licence' to push forward and take on Bright's roles of carrying the ball. Allen can of course do it and had a superior scoring record to Bayliss, but he seems better equipped as a more box-to-box midfielder than I think MR was hoping to get from Bayliss last year but defensively didn't do enough.

I still think we'll play 4-2-3-1 at times, and if we do it'll likely be Bayliss pushed up into that role.

Only if we sign a 10. We’ve played a midfield 3 including Bayliss in both pre-season games. If we had plans of using him there, you’d hope he’d have pre-season to try it.

Agree! I think 433 is what we will be looking at doing if we dont sign an out and out number 10. If Bright is a no go I wouldn't be surprised to see another winger come in.

I think we’ll sign a striker for definite. If his heart is set on 4-2-3-1 we need a 10. Would anyone be surprised to see another right back come in?

Regardless of matching the price Birmingham offer it comes down to higher wages and a higher league. It’s a tough one to pull off.

It definitely is. It depends on the player really. If it's more important to him to feel loved, I'm sure CCFC would be his preferred destination. It could also be better for his career long term.
If money is more important then he'll choose Birmingham (and if Birmingham are genuinely after him - seems pure speculation based on sightings of him, none of which actually look like him).

If it was me, I know what I'd do. I'd be pocketing that extra money.

Stand corrected, but even so y9u contradicted yourself why would we be in for another rb if we already have 2

Who’s the second? Pask is a centre half who’s been brought into cover right back. If we could get a specialist with the funds left I think he might.
