Looking like he is going to the Chinese super league, will earn £1M per week tax free, nice work if you can get it.

Apparently he is a multi millionaire to the tune 100million or so, why would you play in china (even if you are getting a million a week). why not actually play football back in the prem or go to another euro club. Ok, its a wage cut but he would still be on 150 grand a week im sure. I mean how much money does he really need.....

Does a season out there for 52 million and come back to proper football in England. Don’t really blame him. Not his fault the moneys gone crazy

I reckon he will play for 18months to 2yrs then retire back in the UK. He'll buy CCFC & the Ricoh at the earliest opportunity & all will be well again

Hope he learns his lesson and makes an effort to learn Chinese.
Even if he can just say a few words, the Chinese will love him.

i predict Man U will panic buy him possibly as some part of Pogba leaving.

I'd hate to see him go to China, such a waste. Moneys fantastic obvs but how much more does it matter when you are earning 2 million a month as it is

Really disappointing could have been a true great. Always thought he has been a flat track bully in Spain only really turning it on against the likes of FC Chorizo when already 2-0 up. Little moments of magic here and there but largely mediocre

Gone for the money.

Always was a respected player treated horribly by Real Madrid but whilst he could've gone elsewhere to win silverware he would much rather play in an average league but with a lucrative contract.

I understand people wanting to make as much money as they can from a short career but he's on £600K a week at Madrid, before you even consider any endorsements. How much money does one person need?

Sure he could get a big money move, albeit not for as much as China, somewhere that was a higher standard where he could go for some meaningful silverware.

China deal is off, the Chinese club wanted him on a free transfer to compensate for his £1M weekly wage.
