Haven’t been to a home game for 2 seasons. Work 2 weekends a month, had a child etc. All excuses really as I just couldn’t be arsed to go. This feels like a call to arms for me now though so I’ll be going to as many as I can get to. Also feel a bit guilty not going for the last couple of years other than the Wembley piss ups.

The difference is you have just said straight up you can't be bothered mostly because nobody else is etc. You haven't tried to get a moral chuffty badge.

It's been said on here many times, especially after the Northampton fiasco, that going or not going is a personal choice, and no one should be criticised for their decision. Dividing fans etc etc.

yet here we are, questioning CJ on his choice and reasons... Double standards or what?

Think it was more questioning his logic. I can understand if people don't want to go to Birmingham, not going if the Ricoh was just a bit up the road isn't really the same

Welcome back - personally I feel that this is the time to step up, I live near Newcastle and attend more away games than home, but I will attend more home games this year.

I think it is more the trust that he stands with. I think that is the contradiction

Just get a membership for £28.60. ST holders won’t sell out away tickets.

Membership became available last week, got mine. It gives you an advantage (and a nice card to proudly flash) but there are still times (think Lincoln, Forest Green) when all tickets are taken by season ticket holders. Ces’t la vie, I’m getting used to sitting in the home end (on my hands!)

It's not really, it's questioning the logic about the invisible line and a ground being a bit down the street and suddenly not going and comparing it to it being in Carlisle.

Some don't seem to though. The (I agree, a little odd!) not one foot more stuff came from having to justify himself for not going to Birmingham. If we'd left it at that, we wouldn't even be going into the rest of it!

Never got the "no a foot over the boundary" thing. Then again, despite this being my 47th season I have never lived in Coventry and I never will I have always travelled from Southam, then Leamington and finally for the last 20 years Warwick. I supported City as my Dad did and he started taking me on my 7th birthday in 1972. It seems strange to go and watch England a 1000 miles away, for example, yet not the team you support less than 20 miles away. Especially when you consider that this is a totally different situation to Sixfields and, in my opinion, down to Wasps and not the football club or its owners.

Then again, reminds me of those threads in the past where people on here have said they'd rather England win the World Cup than CCFC win the FA Cup or get promotion to the Premiership. Weird.

Can’t help how I feel. With regards to England, for me major international tournaments are the pinocle of football. Same goes for ODI Cricket and both codes of Rugby.

Are we not allowed to ask questions? I wasn't trying to put him down, I was making genuine queries. I wanted to know what consitutes going and not going, and it appears it's very black and white for him. If that's the case so be it, but as with literally everything in life, people will have an opinion on that. No one is shouting him down or slating him for not going as far as I can see, just suggesting that the logic of something being one metre over a line means you can't go, is a bit odd.

The purpose of it is not to judge any view but to analyse the data and see if when it’s quoted those who will not attend are protesting against the club is s realistic assumption

Yes got STs so son and I will attend the majority of home games. May miss odd one due to evening travel and/or family commitments.
Away games hopefully attend half dozen or few more.

Perhaps it was an error to identify posters. The reality is people will refuse to attend if it’s outside the border.

There is no case to argue - If that’s an opinion then that’s it. It’s the numbers who feel that way and see if that’s an accurate representation in how the trust board report non attendance

As an aside, it'd be kind of interesting to link attendance with where people live. My hypothesis would be that message boards get a disproportionate number of people who live further away (certainly why I started posting, how else would I know whether we were *really* going to sign Dean Gordon!) and those who live further away are probably less affected by a move as they have to travel anyway. I might be wrong on that btw, and it's more complex to answer than even that write-up, but... this is just one piece in the jigsaw.

Neil white is newly elected and wants to change things - he was away at the first meeting to be fair to him. He confirms he will attend games

The reality is it over 100 poll even on a wildly optimistic fan base of 40,000 it’d more representative than a MORI poll for a general election of 1,000

It’s also a lot more representative than a board member concluding as only 6 or 10 oppose him the rest of the ccfc fan base are with him.

Also far more than determining a mildly anti wasps sentiment from a pint and a pork pie group of 20 in a pub

The actual question of course is how the trust shape policy. Now they may have done many surveys to its membership but I’ve not seen any.

So if the findings are refuted I assume they will do an online survey of its membership and analyse the responses compared to on here. That’s what any professional group would do.
