We handed more flyers out at the Liverpool game last min ight and lits of interest. Wrather dependant, hopefully a decent turn out.

Lots of current and former players will be in attendance, but the starting team from what I can make out is Scott Shearer in goal, Andy Whing RB and Marcus Hall LB, CB are Busst and Terry Angus, midfield of Doyler, Baker, Carsley and Sheffers with Andy Morrell and Stuart Beavon up front. Still waiting on confirmation from Stephen Elliot, Steve Staunton and a couple of others. Benno, Oggy, Gynn, Bodak and some others I've missedattending, maybe Dion, along with a good number of the current squad.

Should be a great day!

I don't think he'll be playing, just mingling with the crowd. Can find him a spot if he'd like to though ;-)

Some fantastic prizes in the raffle that they are doing too - some real collector's items. Should be a great day. Get yourselves up there!

Seriously, there will be the opportunity to mingle with some of the current squad (if you can nudge Juggy out of the way!) and will help raise money towards the City's homeless (sic). part of #Doyler's legacy and Myton Hospice (IIRC). Please support if you can.

Harsh. Whichever player or “legends” are playing, they are giving up their time-fair play to them and fair play to those who have payed as fans to play on the same pitch as them.

Terry Angus. Genuine top fella him. Knew him semi personally, early 2000s.

He’s one of the nicest men on the planet.
I knew him growing up in late 70s/early 80s. Occasionally bump into him at city games, he’s always apparently pleased to see me and chat for a bit. At Villa Park in 92 he ran across the street (leaving the professional footballers he was with) to say hello to my dad!

And he is a legend at Fulham. He was once voted player of the match by the fans after a serious drubbing away from home. Nothing unusual in that except he had been an unused substitute.

100% agree. He was telling me once he only left Fulham because Micky Adams wouldn't offer him a decent contract (not wages, length) and they fell out apparently.

Also introduced me to Oggy once...starstruck!

Well what a great day it turned out to be in the end (despite the score!).
Great turnout aswell, met an old friend and had a good catch up and I think the official attendance was 460?
Well done to everyone involved and lots of money raised for the 2 charities. A mention to the officials who quite rightly awarded a penalty against Dave Busst which was fired home for the supporters to break their duck......:emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

To those who are saying it was a bit one sided, the supporters club's star player, Mark (Messi) Massey was ruled out with a broken finger. May have been a different outcome, otherwise?

Thanks anyone who came, helpers and of course all the players. Especially Jordan and his family and Doyler.

Officially 488 but i think 300-350 who paid, excl kids and sponsors etc, with the raffle too, hopefully a decent amount for both charities. Had lots of costs for ground, kit, players, st johns, refs, framed shirts etc but had some sponsors too that helped. Pleased it's over, glad we done it, great day - knackered!

Legends were simply that - legends. Some real nice guys and got into the spirit of events. Would be so nice if we had more days like this and endorsed by the club.

PUSB!
