Espirto Santo says he can go out on loan again. Good news ?
On the basis they are trying to develop him as a potential first team player for them rather than just extending his contract to increase his transfer value I would presume they want him to play at as high a level as possible. So the question will be will he get the game time at a Championship club. The fact that he's so highly rated by Robins and we put in a decent bid for him will make it clear if he comes to us he will be playing.

If you assess what the Wolves boss said he would be looking for him to play in the championship. Whether championship clubs see him as we do is a different matter.

but a good comeback nevertheless.. Had to laugh at that one even if i didn't agree with the sentiment

Just had a look at the Coventry North East FC forum (yes, Sunderland, I have relatives up there) and they are all over the Nuno statement about a loan. If money talks then we are F***ed.

I don't see it as good for us that he's available for loan, that's 2 periods where we can get screwed over.
Now as he may end up somewhere else on loan like Sunderland or a team in the championship.

Then even if he came and had a good season a bigger club could come in at the end of the season.

I think this whole bright saga is over for us now sadly, the only way we could have got him was if they accepted the 600k, which they obviously haven't

The player likes it at Coventry, will be a regular first teamer, and a side definately going for promotion all adds up to a great place to go out on loan. We must be favourite to get him.
Now we just need a darn striker who knows where the net is.

The linked article pretty much confirms we have no chance

If it was going to happen it would have happened ages ago. I think MR has moved on and looking at playing 4-3-3 now anyway.

If he's looking to send him out on loan to the championship how is that good news for us?

The thing is, whilst everybody raves about him and he does look impressive, he'd have to be far more disciplined in the Championship. I don't see many Championship sides taking a gamble on him or giving him the kind of licence he had here.

Particularly at Birmingham - I don't see the need there with Crowley. Birmingham fans seem convinced he's a striker.

If Wolves want to grow and improve him, a loan move to L1 would be completely pointless. That’s just stagnating him.

Better here and playing than getting splinters on his arse in the championship.

Don't think that would happen if he went to one of the three promoted sides on loan.

MR knows how to set the team up to play with him! thats pivotal on his performces in my Honest Opinion. Otherwise he will be just an good ordinary players at other clubs. By the Time Jack Ross changes scumberland to accomodate his style they will have lost a lot of points

Logistically we would be preferable to Sunderland; I feel the scuppering of any deal will be Championship related.

Any player with ambition goes to as high a level as he can manage, not a club that is in exile and a league lower

He isn’t disciplined enough for L1 and potentially not consistent enough either, so I don’t think he’d get as much guaranteed playing time.

MR would build the team around him here and give him his favoured free role.

From Wolves perspective it would be more beneficial for his development to be playing for a promotion chasing footballing side in L1, than a relegation battling Championship team. The mental side is just as important for his development.

It's similar to when Newcastle decided to keep Armstrong at cov

Unless it is a loan until January, where upon, due to performances, his value increases, I don’t see what Wolves get from loaning him out. His value is in reality is likely to be less in January than it is now, as there will only be months left on his contract. Surely their best plan is either to get him to sign a longer deal or sell him now?

Unless they have given him a year contract, with the option of extending it by a further year in their favour again?

Didn't he play a substantial number of games for Wolves in the Championship? Why are we now suddenly of the opinion he wouldn't get game time with a champ team?

It's time to let this go, would have been nice to have him but I've no doubt Robins will have other ideas.

41 times in the championship I think
