Like a Labrador just happy to be out in the open.

Or overeager to impress and make an impact because the manager gives him five minutes while the other strikers get game after game without scoring many. If we're talking training and discipline, what about Baka and his seeming inability to understand offside?

Given how Chaplin was 'bigged up' last season only to disappoint I'm determined not to get over-excited about Walker possibly coming in. From all the comments I've read he sounds almost exactly the same as we heard about Chaplin. My big hope is that at least he scored a fair few goals last season whereas Chaplin was largely an unknown quantity.

We’ve had plenty of players who are lost on the offside rule: Bakayoko, Bothroyd, Huckerby, Leon Best, and probably way more that I’ve forgotten.

If he was good enough, wouldn’t he have been starting games?

How can you tell if he’s good enough to start games if you haven’t ever started him in one?! I think he was sent out on loan to start games in order to then be more involved with us but was unlucky with injury.

I must say I don’t think he’s brilliant but he’s also never actually had a chance. His career stats are 6 in 36 apps (1 in 6) but some of those appearances would’ve been minutes on the pitch.

I think he averages about 1 in 2. In terms of goals per minute it was better than all the other strikers anyway.

Walker is nowhere near good enough for championship. He'll be loaned out 100% isn't he 22? Not exactly a young fresh-faced striker

Is the championship really that much better ?
I’m thinking it’s a hell of a lot stronger, a gulf. Leeds United, Derby County, didn’t Huddersfield beat us 4-1? I know McNulty didn’t get much of a chance at Reading, but they obviously decided he wasn’t up to it. I think we would need major strengthening to survive in that league.

I remember watching a Leeds game last season and thinking how much our team would be absolutely smothered at that level these days, so fast compared to when we were there... Championship is miles above league 1
