"what are you realistically expecting them to do"

Start by confirming in comuncation that their priority is to get back to Coventry ASAP. Then..

1) reiterate their stance that they would happily move back to ricoh if wasps remove the indemnity clause
2) update on woodlands site and where they are at with that, is the ball in SISU court or CCC ?
3) update on last communication with the ccc around request for them to help with finding a site, have they identified any, have they not responded ? If they have identified a site or two, update on due diligence on these. If they haven't ,update on when next request will be submitted to CCC
4) update on any potential sites found near the city boundaries and update on if the EFL would support a move to one of these sites
Fair enough. Personally I see little point in the club putting out statements every few weeks saying nothing has changed when nobody is listening to what they are saying and applying pressure to the other sides involved. You don't need the club to release a statement to know what the response would be.

This quote from him stood out a bit - "The sheer size of the stadium as we pulled on to the car park, it's massive"

It's got great history, it's theirs and it'll be more full, but I find it hard to imagine anyone being bowled over by the scale of Deepdale.

He's done it right like Maddison and Wilson did, going to a club he'll probably actually get to play for.

Not too bothered about this as much as others in the past.

I know its not for this thread, but I disagree. Its also not every few weeks, its been 8 weeks now and counting, its radio silence.

Also, if nobody is listening "CCC and Wasps", why don't they start looking just outside CCC boundary and speak to the EFL about possibility of allowing them just over the border. I might be in the wrong here, but it strikes me that the silence is deafening and nothing is happening on any of the points

Good luck to him. Will be interesting to see if he kicks on. Could just as easily be another Thomas or Stevenson as he could be the next Maddison.
I think we signed Allen to sell Bayliss.
Facts are going to stop people raging at SISU and demanding a huge signing to replace someone who wasn't a regular in our starting lineup and has already been replaced.

I know well disagree here but as CCFC fans there’s no “pressure” we can apply to anyone but CCFC and we’ve decided we don’t want to harm the club for the actions of its owners.

We wont impact either Wasps bottom line or any individual councillors electoral chances or Sisu’s heartstrings.

I get that you’ve got this dream of storming the Council house/Ricoh and forcing the occupants to do what we want. But if that was possible it’d have happened by now.

At least we are consistent with selling someone just before the season starts.

A shame to see Tom go. But he did look lost at times last season. Good luck to him in the future.

Maybe not the thread but hey, I'll fill the middle ground that yep, I agree there are patterns with previously, and SISU have presented their case more effectively this time.

I do think however that public opinion matters / is needed more by Wasps than SISU, so pressure there is more likely to have an effect. I'm not even going to get into whether they're more at fault but, more whether it'd have more effect.

Yeah seen this. Is it credible though? If true that should have been the fee
That only applies if the player or his agent is forcing a move against the club's wishes Faz
In this case the club has done a deal that suits them
If this is Mark Robins' decision, as I suspect then he will probably have a plan in place
He has recently said he'd like three more players to come in
We'll see soon enough

Good look to the lad, took his opportunity here, and made a name for himself,
He’s now made himself a wealthy young man, and we get some cash in the bank as well.
Now it’s up to MR to recruit well and make us a stronger team. Two good strikers and were ready for the playoffs.

Football is a small world LQ and the clubs Robins is talking to about players he'd like will know we've just sold Bayliss
As with any negotiation you have to be able to walk away if the selling club tries to take your pants down
You could see it with how long the Chaplin deal took last year
That's one of the reasons transfer fees are often undisclosed, so other clubs don't know how much money you might have in your budget

He’s given us a good two years , moving up the leagues in the right way like Maddison did , good luck to the kid , will be keeping an eye out now for Preston results , let’s hope he does well and we have a juicy sell on clause :)

That’s always been the plan for him. I was surprised that it didn’t happen last summer if I’m honest as his agent was talking about using the playoffs to boost his profile. He has good stakeholders in his career who are thinking long-term. I’ve been present at a couple of agent pitches saying how they could get him a move to a Premier League side but those around him aren’t interested in that so soon.

Premier League? Really? I know I'm just a humble fan but I dont see him ever playing at that level. Fair play if he does though.

if we sell him id be happy to bring in Mayler, be nice to have some experience and another defensive option in midfield

Mayler made David Rennie look like he had pace - what a god awful player he is
