Didn’t hear anything and I’m surprised. Thought everything seemed good natured on and off pitch between and towards players

Also very surprised to read this. Although I was anxious it was all going to be a shit show, I actually came away surprisingly positive about the whole experience. That's not to say it was ideal by any stretch but given the circumstances we find ourselves in, it was pretty much spot on and all round atmosphere seemed positive and friendly. If it was one/some of our fans involved, I hope they get the book thrown at them and are banned for a very, very long time. Absolutely no place for it in football or soceity as a whole. Honestly can't believe it still rears its head.

Does That they’ve approached Southend for comment mean it came from their fans? Not that I’m saying our fans aren’t capable of that shit.

Yeah I think someone on here would've mentioned it if they'd heard it. Pleased to say I've never heard anything like that from City fans. Which made me think maybe it was from the away fans. A lot of morons about.

The way he said it happened in-front of his friends and family make me think it may have happened around the outside, possibly after. Normally if there is something like this in the stands you'd normally hear about it on here or twitter as people would be rightly outraged by it. Hopefully it isn't out lot.

I suspect his friends and family were sat amongst the away fans. That must be awkward as a parent of a player. I remember Lameiras getting a right mouthful once from someone sat in the seat next to his mum.

I'll always remember, a bloke who sat next to me who was a bit of a tool anyway, let everyone know his thoughts about Lameiras (think it was the Northampton checkatrade game) as he was subbed on. Didn't hold back, 30 seconds later with his 1st touch, in steps Ruben, I turned and told him to sit down and stop celebrating a shit players goal

From twitter looks like its Southend fan(s), and not for the first time.

As others have said, I know all clubs have their idiots but I thought sat was actually very positive from CCFC fans and it would have shocked me if it was us.

He’s friends with a mate of mine (he’s from brum originally), it was Southend fans without a doubt.

Classy doing that to anyone, let alone your own players.

Doesnt matter whose fans it is it is unacceptable.

Some of our fans let themselves down as soon as a blonde lady walked on the pitch with her child "Get your tits out for the lads." Its not the 1970's. The Southend physio got abuse for his size. Grow up.

Also some of our adult fans insisted on standing in the front two rows of the upper tier blocking some fans views; dispite their ignorance being pointed out to them by several fans. Most importantly a young girl about 8 or 9 couldnt see a thing. Dad and her were forced to move at half time, disgraceful.
If you are one of these fans who want to stand in a seated area, get yourselves organised and buy tickets for the back row.

Why is it that I read a thread about racism from Southend fans and someone uses it as yet another opportunity to have a dig at our own supporters.

The chanting at the girls was out of order.

People standing was in part caused by the closure of block 37. That block was regarded by many as where the more vocal would go and standing would be likely, but all those people had to find alternate seats. But, of course, show a bit of respect, but if standing at football is a disgrace then we're all guilty because we all do it away from home. I have two young kids and standing at football is normal to them.

As for the fat physio, come on. Didn't myself, but it was just a bit of teasing. It's quite jarring to see someone of that size in that environment. I doubt he even cares, so why get offended on behalf of someone who probably doesn't give a shit?

Not at all surprised. A number of us have commented on racist abuse from City 'fans' at away games. Heard it at Plymouth last year, but the one that really sticks out for me was Forest Green.

As the physio thing, yes it's understandable that people might snigger, but the guffaws and cheering from the grown adults around me was embarrassing.

Wasn’t claiming it was in any way acceptable, but for the sake of our club’s reputation, personally I was glad it wasn’t our lot doing the abusing. In the same way I’d be relieved it wasn’t my kids doing the <insert bad behaviour here>. That doesn’t mean that whatever the behaviour was is acceptable.

I think it was Kastaneer’s missus who was getting the “tits out” chant. And he had his toddler in his arms waving at the crowd. Looks he brought them over to meet the fans and soak up a bit of atmosphere at his new club. Hopefully she doesn’t speak English...!

No mate these werent season ticket holders in the gangway. These people had seats. Their argument was I paid for this seat and if I want to stand I will. Despite blocking an eight year old (I can only estimate) view.

Also I will criticise our fans if necessary, especially the ones standing in the front two rows of upper tier because they dont give a shit about fellow fans.

It was noticeable they were like rats down a drain pipe on final whistle and must have been the first out.

Don’t think it was his missus as Kastaneer and his dad were sat in front of us. Both nice people.

Dickheads, no idea why they would do that after sitting on the front row.

Go up to the back

Fair enough, that's not on. I was just answering the point you made about people who want to stand should group together, and tbf they probably did, but were then forced to move which I guess didn't help. But yeah, people standing when everyone behind them is sitting is very disrespectful and should be called out.

I dont understand why people who want to stand go to the front row, in the same way why people want to sit go to the back row! Just doesn't make sense.

Racism seems to be more of a problem from clubs down south tbh... Just an observation
