to be fair, it's generally the way the loan path goes with young players, do well in one league and then move up to the next.
3 players we had last season now gone that route. Would have been nice to have had him again but if I were Wolves I would want to see how he can perform in the Championship. I'm sure they have highlighted the areas he needs improving on and have probably already been working with him on them.

His social media prick teasing was out of order, so I can see why people aren't happy about that. The summer of death threats from 5 stone, 17 year old virgins might teach him to be a bit more selective about what he posts in future!
It definitely makes perfect sense from Wolves’ point of view and I understand why Bright would want to challenge himself at a higher level but for Wigan I wouldn’t bank on him being a sure thing and with his temperament I could see things turning sour if the fans get on at him.

Shame And his social media will need some cleaning up as he has been titillating Cov fans all summer on it and it all looks pretty disingenuous now.

Oh well, it’s a real shame as he’s a definite game changer in this league, but he was never ours to begin with (just like Walker wasn’t) so I’m sure MR and Badlan have other options lined up. They have a good record in the loan market.

We’ve also set the team up to play without a 10, so at least it won’t leave a gap.

I think he’ll struggle at Wigan, it’s a poor move. It’s a higher standard of league, but as I’ve repeatedly said, from both a football and mental side, his development would have benefited from playing for a footballing L1 team chasing promotion and where he’s the main man, to a struggling Championship side. Especially if he is erratic as reported.

He’s lost some fan love too for his teasing of a return.

I'm not sure he has the best team around him. The woman to his right clearly has her sights set on a new handbag or two and the guy on his left is just happy to have a friend.

Was disappointed last week when we sold Bayliss and lost out on Taylor but then the victory first game and signing of Godden has lifted the spirits.

Would have obviously loved Bright here but I'm sure MR has other targets in mind. He's slowly building a very good team here. Allen, Kastaneer, Jobello and Godden are all players Im very much looking forward to watch them play. There is more to come for sure and at least on-field - Exciting times ahead!

Wigan will not play to his strengths unfortuneatly! Be interested to follow his progress?

Well at least that's £600k that MR has to use now, see if he can get another midfielder or striker in
Do you think that might have already been spent on Godden? Got to think the club knew this was happening (or at least likely to happen) a lot earlier than we did.

Even if they were hoping for Bright right up to the last minute, they must’ve known it would only ever be a loan. Be amazed if we spend any more money on a transfer fee this window.

We’ve played 4-3-3 because Bright isn’t here and we don’t have a number 10. If Bright signs, we’ll instantly go back to Robins’ preferred 4-2-3-1.

But we've got a lot of new players in so how will they effectively play a system they've not been coached on what the manager expects from them? Positionally and tactically players will be expected to do different things.

Teams change systems all the time. Last year we changed to 4-3-3 a few times. We also played 4-4-2. The year before we started 4-2-3-1 then 4-4-2 then a variation of 4-3-3 before returning to 4-4-2. If we had signed Bright or if we sign a 10, we will revert to 4-2-3-1

Why would he struggle at Wigan ? he’s a good player and will be playing with better players, albeit against better players sounds a bit like sour grapes from some on here.
I suspect MR has known for a while Bright was off elsewhere and he is looking elsewhere. Now the transfer window for the closed for the top two divisions players probably championship players things could happen.

Using other people's polling cards is not illegal?

Of course it is - it's electoral fraud. I'd suggest it's bullshit because 1. you don't need to take your polling card and 2. admitting it on social media would likely end up in a prison sentence. Would be funny as fuck if he got sent down for something he didn't actually do.

I've always assumed some people must do it - no need for ID, just asked name and address. So as long as you know their name and address it's fine. Although if they're all at the same polling booth you'd think after two or three someone would recognise them. Much easier to do if you have people at different polling booths.

I've also never understood why the person you 'sign in' with gives a number to the person crossing people off the list? I'm hoping it's as a numbers check when votes are counted so they tally but there's a part of me that wonders if it's more.

I can see the facebook/twitter lot giving him loads for it. He also doesn't seem to me to be one who'd handle the criticism well either - almost a childlike need for attention.

I guess that's why he uses his middle name rather than his first name, Nunto.

Another indicator how far low sisu have taken us, when scraps from wolves would rather head to wigan athletic.
Oh shut up you utter twat,

Wolves = prem top 7 a lot of players would struggle.

Wigan = championship much more of a appealing destination than league 1 Coventry city.

Council put us in this state with the wasp but that's ok wasp will be bust by the seasons end

He isn’t the answer to everything but definitely a cut above your average L1 footballer. You are right if you get a chance of this type of player you would be silly to overlook it

That wasn’t my point. I would have been delighted if we signed him, he has potential. My point is, he isn’t the greatest footballer we’ve ever seen in the shirt. Some of our fans have appeared to put all their hopes on him and that’s bizarre.

Comments on tactics and thinsg like Bright wont fit into Wigans system do make me mega-lol.

And its not picking up on anyone specifically and have been guilty of it myself to be fair.

I'm sure professional managers who are employed to manage professional football teams based on knowledge and experience are in a decent position to know what will work for them, what each players strengths are and how they'll fit them into teams.

Sure, there'll be exceptions but generally they're much better positioned to know about that than Geoff the car salesman from Kenilworth.

Wolves have always been a bigger club than us tbf, even when the league below. We've been lower than Wigan every season since 2003, i.e before SISU

I think that's generally true regarding Wolves. But there have been times when it perhaps wasn't the case, certainly if we are basing it on attendances. Their bad spell in the 80s really was bad. I've never understood how it was possible for them to be getting league gates of 2000 given their stature and history. But yeah, Wolves have a massive catchment area and a rich history. We're light years apart at the moment.

Normally I'd say its out of order to have a go at a player on twitter for not signing but he's made a rod for his own back here. You can't spend weeks making people think you're signing and not expect some stick when you go somewhere else.

Exactly, he was even telling the fans directly he was coming back.

What's all that about?
