Don't forget BaylissBit a both I think. The formation doesnt suit our players (e.g. Hiwula certainly isn't a left winger), and I think Robin's is a bit negative, for a striker he seems more worried about conceding than he does about scoring goals. Last season in a 4231 he only really allowed us to attack with 4, not we're playing 433 we're only really attacking with 3, and looking for midfielders to score 20 yard yarders. Personally in league one and two, defenders are rubbish, I'd like to see 2 up top and put them under pressure, get some width and get balls in box. Too many times today we were too narrow trying to pass our way through the middle trying to score the perfect goal.
A few of our players arent good enough - bakayoko isn't, hiwula isn't as a left winger and as much as I like biamou, he is a foil not a goal scorer. And we
We really miss thomas and Bright, they made things happen. I cant believe some think we're a better side now than the one we ended the season with.

It doesn't matter Grendel, because he could feature for 6 minutes.
Just checked it’s actually a goal in every 9 games
It does matter because according to you Jonathan Agnew is a better batsman than Geoffrey Boycott

I don't know anything about cricket so couldn't even debate this with you
Boycott was a top batsmen and Agnew was a bowler and a terrible batsman
Pointless example, playing into Grendel's earlier example. That Wayne Andrews bloke that Mickey Adams brought to score the winner at Barnsley scored once in 10 minutes. His goal per minute played was great even though he was terrible. If over 46 games a striker gets a goal a game but played 80 minutes a match is offered to you or a striker who scores a goal a game but played 10 mins a match... Who would you want

Jobello, Bakayoko and Biamou all scored today.
None of them counted.
2 are invalid as they were offside. 1 was probably a harsh decision.
If 1 harsh decision stops us from beating a children's team then it's pretty worrying.
that's fair comment, but if you go with that take on things then people can't start going an about Southend should have scored last week and they nearly got a draw when they didn't and we won 1-0, you can't have it both ways.
Would that make you a better striker who than someone who started 40 games and has scored 20 goals at around 180 mins per goal over a season?Ok how about this
I play 130 games for Coventry city and score 1 goal , during those 130 games I was substituted on every match with 30 seconds to go.
Is it fair to call me a 1 in 130 striker despite playing just 65 minutes over the course of 130 games

No, any sort of win would have been fine, but the key part is that we should have won. We were playing against a hastily thrown together youth team. We won't play an easier game all season.Seems that the only thing that would have been acceptable today is a 5/6-0 win.
Hes scored 16 goals in 126 league appearance. Hes shite. It would mean that based on the average time played my ratio was better.
That's all this is, the argument was calling Bakayoko a 1 in 9 striker but my argument was that during that time he's scored a goal every 301 minutes, a perfectly reasonable and well accepted stat by sites like bbc and sky sports, yet to prove an argument on here that a player is shit people won't use it.
You can't on one hand praise Chaplin like some do, then slate Bakayoko despite Bakayoko having a better ratio in similar games played in terms of minutes played last season .. Its nonsensical
As someone said earlier last seasons side would of beat Bolton with ease today
Hes scored 16 goals in 126 league appearance. Hes shite.

Like I said before, if we use this logic, Cyril Regis was shit for city

For his first two seasons he was abysmal and he admitted it
Yes, but I would class Southend and Bolton's youth as two totally separate things.
Sure, Southend should have been fucked harder, but those cats today should have been put down after half an hour.
Ok the team that finished the season second half of itThe team that played 3 of the bottom 6 in their first 5 games and got 4 points?
