First time I'd heard him last night and he was better than expected. I was pleasantly surprised to hear him have constructive criticism for the team, I feared he might be all matey and too close to the squad.

I did raise an eyebrow when hearing Clive say Godden had 'shot his bolt' late on. No wonder he was so tired.

First time I listened to him last night... really enjoyed his input

He will get better and better as he gets more experience

Remember when Gary Lineker started on match of the day...sounded a right prick ... and look how he turned out......an annoying dull prick!!!

I don’t like his monotone voice in fact I am not a fan of the bloke. Met him a few times and came across as quite rude to be honest. His inside info is a pleasant change but as someone pointed out Catlin (forgive me if spelt wrong) was the best passionate well informed person we have ever had. I was painting a huge library at work a few years ago and his radio skills and passion were second to none. Made the job a lot easier.
CWR are a tin pot radio station in reality and are doing their best with limited budgets.

got to agree, thought he was OK, admittedly at CWR the bar is set very low.

Although this is going off topic somewhat there’s some funny interview with him somewhere which I can’t find. He was at a charity golf event and laughing how he was voted worst footballer ever at Coventry and Cardiff and said I must have been good at Bristol rovers but he said someone then told him he was voted the worst by them as well

He didn’t take himself too seriously
I think u just broke grendel....
a post that isn't ironic or sarcastic, and is posted in a manner that's sounds relatively friendly

It’s nice not having to listen to Linnell saying my friend to each player I would guess that 99% aren’t his friends.

It's better than last season. Not a high bar to jump but I am liking the fact it's more consistent rather than some legends who came on who were watching us for the first time and commentating in a vacume. He also speaks with more insight than most given he was part of the setup until last season.

Oggy did make me laugh the other night when the other's seemed to be trying to take the mick out of him for being unable to recall David Rennie equalising for the Sky Blues when they were down to nine men back in 1995 even though Oggy played in that game. It was against Wimbledon, I was probably concussed.

Knocking Oggy, one of our greatest club servants seems fair game by a number of no marks on here, every time Burge dropped a bollock it was Oggys training at fault, now it’s his radio performance, ffs the bloke kept us in the top flight for years with his saves and did as much to get us to the cup final than anyone.

Think he's doing OK personally can't see what all the moanings about he's an ex footballer not a radio star.......

I have been impressed with Oggy. Its a shame his tone is a bit boring but he is knowledgeable.

I always liked Chris Cattlin when they had him on. Also Dave Bennett who just sounds like an avid fan.

First game he did I wasn't impressed but I think I was just put off by his voice which was a bit Father Fitzgerald, but I've enjoyed him the last few games.

I think he is getting better, it's interesting that he knows more about behind the scenes and training.

The only thing is when he tries to be a commentator like against Portsmouth when he thought Harness had scored (it was Marquis) and he was saying about it being the cov kid scoring against his hometime club etc.

One is white with short dark hair and the other is mixed race with a big bun / ponytail.

Cattlin is a good analyst. Bennett is entertaining (though not as much as he himself thinks he is) but offers very little in terms of professional knowledge, tactics. It's pretty much "get the ball wide and get the ball in the box" - who'd have thought a winger would say that! A lot of the time it's not that much different to listening to the guy next to you in the stands.

Why is that those in the stands with the least tactical nous are the loudest to express their opinion? I guess shouting "get rid of it", "forward" and "shoot!" is a lot quicker and easier than explaining why their left back looks susceptible on his weaker foot, the winger isn't tracking back or their midfield is very compact and there's space down the outside.
