Yeah great way to help a young lad settle. You're a decent poster Evo, you type some sense, but ripping a young player's appearance after he's made the biggest move of his career, you're sinking to levels of other scumbags (ccfc4file and fellatio)

Ah cheers always assumed I was a bellend, there's hope lol

I feel a bit sorry for this lad with some of the comments. In fact I'm surprised he even signed for us after what happened when he came to watch us play Gillingham in his pink shirt.
Hahahahahhahahaha

Newton enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season with Royston Town
Joe started his career in the youth set up at St Albans City, before moving to Colney Heath
In January of 2019, Newton's performances were recognised by England Colleges

I swear they're making these teams up.

"We are delighted to announce that Joe Newton has been signed by league 1 side Coventry City for an undisclosed sum.

Joe (18) has been outstanding for the Crows and has attracted a lot of interest both last season and this and it was always just a matter of time before a League club signed him up. We have been very impressed in the way Coventry City have handled the transfer and we are very confident that the deal is the right one for Joe who has signed a two-year deal at the Club. The clubs have agreed to a short term loan back to the Crows and hopefully, the paperwork will be completed by Saturday to allow Joe to play in the FA Cup.

Well done Joe!"

From the Royston website.

And from their Twitter:

Best of luck @NewtonJoe7 ! @Coventry_City have signed a great player and more importantly a great lad!

Good luck to the lad, he's made his way via a harder route of non-league rather than a Premier club academy system. Must have shown resilience to get to this point. Isn't it about time that people on here support rather than abuse new players .....before they've even kicked a ball for us.

I think you're mistaking a few harmless jokes for abuse, much like the Owl whisperer Greggs and getting up on your high horse about it.

He'll, I recall being called a big chinned c**t on here once or something similar. Took it on the cheek.

You are a grown man who is not very sensitive
Not everybody is the same

PS You should have taken it on the chin not the cheek

After he finished off his pick n mix as a reward for signing his name in his favourite crayon mark robins then tucked him in for his afternoon sleep...

Very very well rated by the fans of his previous club, looking at twitter.

Has had a couple of training sessions with us as well, must have done something right.

It's only thanks to our U23s we can afford a team at all.

Or if we didn’t waste time money and effort on people like Bosma we would have more to spend on first team players. We have more success from our academy players than these that are brought in from teams in intergalactic 46.

If we didn't try and develop the likes of Bosma we have no foundations and go bust.

I'm sure the £4.99 a week and packet of haribos we'd have saved would have gone a long way towards the hookers and dwarves lined with coke that are on Kasteneer's rider, anyway.

For every Mason and Hyam who both came from league academies we have Bosma and the like. Please nobody quote McCallum here as he is playing because he is the only one fit because the manager had a blind spot to his best left back and let him go on loan.

How much do you think Bosma would earn?

McCallum, Williams has also made the breakthrough. Who knows how the others will do, but they've clearly not been signed just because the manager fancies gazing into their big blue eyes, and the coaching team see just a little bit of potential in them.

You'd really think we'd learn by now that spunking a fortune on no return is the way to oblivion.
