Just spoke to a Bristol City mate(Season ticket holder) and he said Walsh is quality just can’t get in their team this season and only used as back up,They signed a few midfielders this summer.

He’s not had injuries in his career. How are you supposed to know he’s gonna tear a hip muscle!!!! Bloody hell

n
No I'm not disputing that at all, I mean when the injury first happened it was all a little cloak and dagger. Cant blame the man for being injured, nor was I inferring we should

He looks absolutely class on the ball:

Kelly, Allen and Walsh has the potential to be one of the best midfields in the league.

Seems over all to be rated by their fans with his main attribute being able to pick a pass out. They dont think he will break in to their team and the championship may be a level above hm unless he can be more consistent
Nice little video on their forum and shows how he can play but he doesnt seem to be a goal getter more a creator

You have to think O’Hare has played himself into contention to start Saturday with Kelly I wonder if we will see Walsh start in place of Shipley after that poor showing Saturday from them.I like Shipley & Westbrooke but I think Walsh & O’Hare will be a level above.A better midfield might get the 2 wingers going with better service also.

Marosi
Dabo McFadz rose mason
O’Hare Kelly Walsh
Jobello Godden Hiwula

Il be disappointed if we start with both Shipley and Westbrooke against Blackpool with the players we have at our disposal

Surprised at this, thought Robins had said our business was done. Doubt they've sent him here to sit on the bench so will be interesting to see how we line up now.

DM, so either cover for Kelly, a move to a more defensive 433, or a shift to Robins’ favourite 4231

Reckon we’ll line up like this going forward:

Marosi
Dabo Rose McFadz Mason
Walsh Kelly
Jobello O’Hare Hiwula
Godden
I’d be happy with that mate

Seriously doubt there won't be a place for Allen. Not when fit at least.

I expect O'Hare and Walsh will rotate, plus I think O'Hare can play the wide role so wouldn't be surprise to see hiwula dropped if he doesn't get with it soon.

Hey ladies and gents. Good news to see Walsh sent on loan to you lot. There were people calling for him to go out on loan at the start of the season as we have done with Joe Morrell at Lincoln (playing every game).

I think now that we have Nagy coming back from injury walsh will find it even harder to get a look in. However if we have another Injury in the central midfield area we will need him back asap hence the recall option! LJ said that he wants to do what's right for our club and player. He wants and needs game time.

He is a holding midfielder who as you would expect passes the ball very well and does pass forward rather than just sideways and does have the technique for a killer ball. He can be suspect though defensively (he is a small lad) and due to the lack of game time does not always look very sharp. There is a very good player in Walsh he just needs the game time to kick on and realise his potential!
So competition for Kelly then.

I think O’Hare might move up to the Jobello/Hiwula slot and either Allen in the 10 or back to a 433. Who knows how long until he’s up to speed though.

I personally think Robins will go Kelly Allen Walsh centrally when all fit and he will drop Hiwula eventually if he doesn't pick it up and put o hare left side of the 3 forwards, pace and workrate
You do realise that Kelly Allen Walsh sounds like someone who should be a contestant on Love Island don't you.

Fingers crossed on this one, looks like it could be an exciting addition if he finds form. Gives us two decent set piece takers in him and Westbrooke now, always a good thing if ones a sub.

Annoys me about Allen though, surely they'd have known about the extent of his injuries a while back, couldn't they have just been honest with us? Or do we think it's part of Robins keeping his cards close to his chest? I suppose it could have been a closely monitored injury that hasn't recovered in the way they'd hoped?

Either way, this lad looks potentially class. I reckon we've got the strongest squad in League One, especially in terms of depth
Robins has explained his injury?

I reckon that at full strength we go...

Marosi

Dabo - Hyam/Rose - McFadz - Mason

Allen - Kelly - Walsh

Jobello/Kasta - Godden - O'Hare

Pretty tasty I think, lots of goals in that team.

And a second string of:

Wilson
Watson Hyam/Rose Williams/Pask McCallum
Westbrooke Pask/Eccles Shipley
Jobello/Kasta Baka/Biamou Hiwula/Jones

Which is still probably not far off our first team last year.

Robins has done an outstanding job. Assuming we’re being run to budget, even more so.

Can O Hare play in that LW position? Great if he can

Just noticed that Liam Walsh signed a 2 and a half year deal when he signed for bcfc - so, if he stays all season, his contract is up.
I guess if he is doing well, bcfc will make sure he signs an extension in January (or sell him), as I don't think we could sign him for nothing in the summer (under 24 contract?)...or is that just for original club?

Really highly rated and a very good footballer at this level. Another MR under the radar signing, which is great.

Even before this one I was wondering if MR was tempted to return to 4-2-3-2, with O’Hare 10 and Kelly/Allen (Shipley while Allen is out) as the 2. Walsh could easily fit into the 2.

However I think he’ll keep it 4-3-3, but move O’Hare out wide in place of Hiwula or Jobello (both have had poor starts) and bring Walsh in for Westbrooke.

When Allen is fit, a midfield of Allen/Kelly/Walsh has to be one of the strongest in the league.

And the smallest too.

I'm sure all managers are tempted to get 12 players on the pitch!

You can see what the Midlands pep is trying to do!!

He’s signed a keeper who is at ease receiving and passing the ball. Ball playing centre backs and busy and energetic full backs and now ball playing midfielders who are looking to work the ball forward.

I don’t remember seeing quite such an intentional plan before! Suppose it comes with consistency in managerial position.
