I am getting really peed off with people starting a sentence with that meaningless adverb / conjunction, "so". Watch any TV quiz show and the compere asks the question, which will go something like this......
"What's your name?"
"So, my name is....."
"Tell us a bit about yourself."
"So, I work in a warehouse / shop / MacDonalds etc."
"Do you have any hobbies?"
"So, I like to blah, blah, blah...."
