I am getting really peed off with people starting a sentence with that meaningless adverb / conjunction, "so". Watch any TV quiz show and the compere asks the question, which will go something like this......
"What's your name?"
"So, my name is....."
"Tell us a bit about yourself."
"So, I work in a warehouse / shop / MacDonalds etc."
"Do you have any hobbies?"
"So, I like to blah, blah, blah...."

Spot on. Not so long ago everyone answered a question with "well" . In the last couple of years it's "so". More American crap being picked up by mainly young people and then unforgivingly gleefully adopted by many older people who should know better.
Even worse is when this "so" bollocks is combined with the rising interrogative nonsense that has plagued us since the end of the 1990s :
"What did you do today ?"
."...so I went to town ? Bought some shoes?"
I know what town is and what shoes are you fucking twat.

There's a British guy with lots of Youtube videos who is fond of following every comment about something pleasant with the phrase "Good Times", or even worse "Yeah, good times".
As in "Look, there's not a cloud in the sky. Good times", or "I made it home early since the traffic was really light. Yeah, good times."

"and then some" has been used in the USA for a long time.
I had an American pen-pal back in the 1960's who used to write that. I kind of like it. I think it's quaint.

Apart from they’re not actually Millennials They’re members of Generation Z.

People born from around ‘81 would count as Millennials so the earliest members are not far off 40 now.

Well, whatever class of humans they are, they still don't have no clue how to use a simple early phone! And I thought "Millennials" were those born in this particular millennial - 21st century? How do people of your age count as Millennials? Just can't get my head round that.

Work with 3 black east Londoners. Nice people but they have their own lingo, it’s a nightmare. Had to learn about ‘scores’, ‘bills’, ‘bags’ (Hickman look away), ‘monkey’, ‘ton’, ‘bullseye’. And that’s just for amounts of money. I’m out of my depth so I just stay quiet and nod.

All I’ve taught them is ‘Cov’ and ‘batch’ and ‘got a cob on’ which isn’t even a Coventrian thing.
