Oh my not been to a game? And has the temerity to question my ratings from the stand. Brilliant!

I must admit it is ironic - the ultimate armchair fan

I was surprised the crowd held up. With you wimping our Grendel. Lol. How’s the dog?

Tony is fine thanks Pete. I had to choose between a few drinks with some old work colleagues or a night in small heath

After very little deliberation I chose the former

I think the team is doing well - I think that’s going to retain a lot of the fan base that are going but it has to keep doing it which is a stretch.

I don’t know if the club managed promotion what would actually happen or change

I support a team playing in coventry, not birmingham

The only difference is that B'ham is 20 miles away and Northampton 35 miles away. Sisu's mismanagement has left us in this position.
For that is why majority of fans will not go till we are back in Coventry or till sisu leave.
I thought we all supported coventry city football club not the geographic club. Perhaps you need to change and support the spinx or coventry utd

Funny, you were boycotting the Ricoh weren't you?

It's ironic that somebody appears after a year and a half to post in here and their last post was about MK Dons away.
Pmsl boom!!!

The reason a lot of people dont go is because they wouldnt have gone if we were playing at the ricoh either. They just like to use it as an excuse to be negative about the club and sisu and another excuse

Not boycotting myself, family & work commitments have made it almost impossible for me right now. 1st game I was planning to attend is Ipswich in December & I see that’s moved to a Sunday now!
Well that means I can go, so I'm alright, Jack.

Bristol Rovers are, correct me if I'm wrong, from Bristol. Yet, when they were exiled to another town for NINE seasons, there were none of the pendantics from what I recall, just a recognition there was nowhere to play in Bristol. They stuck with the club until they were able to return. So should we. Yes, of course less people will commit to season tickets, and there are valid reasons for some, but just don't get the 'clue is in the name' post code pedantry. It's temporary. If there was any suggestion that it wasn't, we'd all stop going. We'll be back this season anyway.

I’m not going. And I will not jump on the bandwagon. But when we return to Cov I’ll be there. The clue is in the team name. I can see the psyche of ‘every game an away game’ but the club continues to alienate the fans. 5k home fans at St Andrews last night. There would have been 14k at the Ricoh.

How do you work out we’d have 14,000? We had 11,000 for s midweek game against Portsmouth at a similar time last year and against Wimbledon on a Saturday it was 10,000
we play better brand of football now and are top. would expect we wpould have improved a bit on last years attendances

changes little, i hughly doubt you were watching shipley off the ball rather than following the action

but no doubrt you can focus on bigger picture more in person yet its irrelveant with you because you know fuck all about football. just get carried away with wins and wanna give everyone high ratings.

To be a real fan you need a season ticket, an ifollow pass, a home and away shirt, a Sky Blue Sam teddy, a crest tattoo on your calf, some of those little flags on your car, a pet named after an ex player, committed murder on a villa fan, noshed off a mad hatter and every season believe 'this is our year'.

Everybody else is a plastic armchair wanker.

at the ricoh i am talking about and i watch every game so yes i am well aware what brand of football we play currently.

people can act superior all they want but at end of the day i need to be in cov city centre on saturdays 5.30pm for something i have mentioned on this forum before to certain posters. games at ricoh( go to about 12-15 when at ricoh out of the 23 home games) i am back home for 5pm and can pick up car and go in

wouldnt be able to get there in time for games in brum. like i said i will make arrangements soon to go watch a game but i wont be able to do it alot this season, maybe 4 or 5 times i imagine.

they are getting my money one way or the other and i am watching every week. win win

Yeah, that probably enough for someone who *likes* the club, but those of us who *love* it need to see us live.

It’s OK though, I understand CCFC doesn’t always come first for everyone.

I'm partial to the Greggs end of week giveaway myself.

If we didnt have the St Andrews option at the start of the season we would now be in the Bury FC position of not having a club to support. I have no problem going to St Andrews as I want to see my team play - yes its extra hassle but in my opinion its well worth it.
The camaraderie on a match day seems to be better than at The Ricoh (probably because everyone has made the extra effort to attend) and the pitch is excellent and suits our style of football.
As much as I desire a Coventry home for the club Im not a fan of getting back to The Ricoh pitch thats for sure.
My wish is that people try it at St Andrews (at least once) and see how difficult it actually turns out be to get there - I think many people will be surprised how easy it is!

Call it the silent majority.
The fact we will take more to MK away than we do to St andrews proves it.

Not been yet. Will certainly be going. A few of the people I know that have season tickets seem to be enjoying it. I get that winning helps.
The day out and match day experience is apparently better than the Ricoh. I’m actually looking forward to it.
I think I’ll always be that kind of ‘does a few games a year supporter’ now. I had a season ticket for 18 years and went home and away everywhere for a while. I just do different stuff nowadays, work wise I’ve more commitments and spending time with the grandkids. Do a few England games and other events.
Following City has brought me some great memories, happiness (plus some sadness) and unbelievable days out, I've met some truly great friends along the way. I’ll always pop up at games now and again. But I’ve done with week in week out, just grown a bit old I reckon!!
That’s not sisu’s fault or anyone else’s.
