Hope he stays for another couple seasons. He is currently behind mason in the pecking order but developing very well. If he goes to Leeds I hope he doesn’t languish in u23 but is loaned back out...to us would be good (but might insist we play him).

He's in the best place for him at a team renowned for developing young players and giving them a chance in the first time while still not having the responsibility of having to play every game.

Hate shit like this from telegraph. Why write this ridiculous article that re uses a quote from Greg abbot 3 weeks ago. Absolutely fuck all with Leeds tracking anyone in there and only goes to start upsetting the squad

Rather lose him than Mason. I'm sure there are plenty of talented kids that'd want to come here, especially given the fantastic path we're creating for these guys.

Hopefully he sees that the players who have left and gone on to better things tend to be the ones who have stuck around and got a decent number of first team games in before making a move.

All clubs track players all the time, you can put a safe bet that McCallum and others at Cov will be known and all good young players throughout the divisions have a price and obviously the lower down the pyramid the likelihood the better players will be picked off by bigger clubs, gone on for years.

If it meant we got to keep Mason and extend his contract I would be delighted to see McCallum go as I am far from his biggest fan.

Why? he is raw and is always out of position teams will start attacking that side when he plays.
His improvement is spectacular over a short space of time. You have no idea of potential if you can’t see that. Robins rates him highly and you don’t !!! Ha ha ha ha

Pace, long throw, passing, recovery, stamina, a willingness to listen and potential to improve

Start at a low base it’s easy to improve he has terrible stamina terrible positional sense. I like robins but like us all he has a blind spot to certain players McCallum I feel is one

Shows how much some on here know... I seem to remember “no where near good enough for the first team” and “weak link” being banded about!
Good job they never took a career in scouting.
As far as I have seen he has been pushed in the deep end, way above any level he has previously experienced and excelled!
Not surprised, fair play to him! Another off the conveyor belt.

Already signed his replacement a few weeks ago - Joe Newton the Milkybar Kid.

Our being top of the table is a double-edged sword.
It will be a magnet for other cluds attempting to siphon off our best players, or even maybe our manager.
Lets just hope we can hold onto what we've got long enough to get promoted.
Listen to Joe Tex.
