Can't be arsed to read the article but we cannot stay here for more at St Andrews for more than a season surely?
I think that was the jist of the article to be fair. And a serious point, we are doing well at the moment and that takes the heat off a bit but it’s correct to say at the Ricoh we could be building up support currently we are over 50% down imo.

Something is up as Eakin also mentioned stuff on Saturday and dropped in that he has heard that Birmingham aren’t keen on another season after this one, didn’t give a source so it’s a good chance it was that dick head at Wasps Eastwood or somebody trying to shit stir

Unfortunately I can't see Wasps going bust anytime soon. They have just been given 20+ million for the sale of the Premiership rights. They have a lot of debt but so do we and I don't see us going bust anytime soon.

Their league season hasn't started yet so can't really make a judgment on attendances but would guess they will be similar or slightly higher than ours at St Andrews.

The one positive is we are running at close to break even point which they are nowhere near. This however could change with us being at St Andrews and we probably need a Wembley visit or a good cup run to achieve that.

The club's look to be in a very similar position. Long term both probably need each other as it stands and we need the EU decision before we can move forward so at least we know where we are. At the minute we are treading water off the pitch while looking good on it.

Yeah it's a bit random, a lot of scaremongering going on.

No is my opinion they won’t be here in 5 years. There debt is unmanageable and will eventually catch them up as there owner can’t continue to fund them unless some other fool comes along. I think they will struggle to stay in there league next season and with gates falling year in year it’ll come to a head within 12-24 months.
The fact that they've lasted this long is down to people hating SISU and some very good PR helped by the telegraph and the sky blue trust. It's a credit to them. They had a lot of people fooled for a very long time.

Back to the same discussion we has before. You felt that if Saturday’s game had been held at the Ricoh we would have got 10k. I think we would have got at least 14k. Last season’s gate is really irrelevant.
History is relevant though.
In our best season since leaving the championship, the free scoring Mowbray 2015/16 season, our average attendance was 12,500. Why would this season be more? If scoring goals for fun AND lowering ST prices that season didnt work then??????

I think there are restrictions on what they can spend that money on though.
Fairly sure it can't be used to support the bond payments.

The 20+ million is more like £17m.
That's 50% of their future league income however. So they will receive 50% less league money every season.

The season hasn't started, but on the Premier Cup that had 6k fans last week was 30% down on the same fixture last season.

With no European rugby and players leaving for Europe/more wages, they'll struggle on the pitch this season as well as off.

More people are aware of their underhandedness, they've had an easy run this far as The Trust/The Telegraph have done a good job of spreading their fake propaganda. Now people see the bigger picture, will they be as willing to turn up to w**ps games? Time will tell, especially if it's a bad season on the pitch.

The point was made that: we had 10k for the Doncaster game at the Ricoh last season (we actually had 11k) so why would there have been more at the Ricoh this season? I was saying that just because we got that attendance last season, it doesn’t mean we would have got the same thiis, attendances are affected by a number of factors.
Attendances in the Mowbray season reflected that fact, up to the Burton home game, after which things went downhill, we were averaging 13.5k.
We have had two seasons of relative success (two Wembley wins,a promotion and a top 8 finish). On the pitch there is a feel good factor. Coming into Saturday’s game we were unbeaten in 9 and had won every home game, League and Cup. I feel that with all those factors a game with another promotion chasing team at the Ricoh would have pulled in around 14k. It still seems a reasonable guess to me.
The main point is that in the long term St Andrews isn’t sustainable. Attendances are at best 50% of what they would be at the Ricoh. We need to be playing in our own city ASAP.

The article does seem a little skewed. Ccfc can't come back unless all the parties compromise

As to the figures being bandied around regarding the rugby premiership deal with CVC then I think this article provides a good summary.

Exclusive: CVC set to increase revenue share in Premiership

One thing wasps are not doing is giving up 50% of their rugby income. Total rugby club income in 2018 was 15.5m approx 8m was central distributions

They sold for a large capital gain 27% of their shareholding. CVC only get a greater share of income (not the shares) if the incomes go above a certain income and it seems only on the excess above that ratchet figure. It looks to me like that doesn't happen unless the club's are better off in the first place despite selling a 27% share which sits in a company that most clubs are a minority shareholder in (so share in its distributions)

They are still in Europe but the UEFA cup equivalent rather than Champions league. They have lost a couple of players most notable is Elliot Daly to Sarries. He was probably among their highest earners and they only get him for 1\2 a season due to him playing for England. It's true they will lose income from the league but when the TV rights come up for renewal the new owners are masters at getting the best deal and also have big links to Sky. All the premiership clubs will benefit from the TV deal. As you say time will tell but I don't see them going pop in the next few years however much we want it.

We'd bring in more than last season playing this football at the Ricoh.
We wouldn't be able to play this football on the pitch at the Ricoh.
Therefore our results would be similar to last year.
Meaning our attendances wouldn't have moved.

Any move back needs to have guarantees about the state of the surface.

Yeah but Andy has said that the pitch is amazing and we could have done the same there even though there wasn't an actual pitch laid for some of our games....

I have to ask but why can’t the stay away fans still spend money on CCFC such as shirts and maybe sponsorships on players etc? They will still be supporting the club as in supporting them financially or is it easier to just stay away and vow to be a true fan when or if we return?
They don’t have to go to St Andrews if they don’t agree with it but now is the time they need the money whilst we seem to be building a decent team on and off the pitch.

But that’s simply not true and demonstrates a plain bone idle journalist who can’t be arsed to get the correct facts.

Sorry, what on earth are you basing the assertion that CVC are “masters at getting the best deal” on. They bled F1 dry. Absolutely nothing to suggest they’re even competent at what they’re proposing to do. Besides, Premiership Rugby has a deal with BT at the moment; do you honestly think Sky are going to come rampaging in and take the rights on for a huge fee?

I saw the other week that CVC are also looking to buy into the rights of the Six Nations. That saddens me greatly as the likelihood is they’ll look to move that to satellite TV as well.

They may have missed the boat on the TV deals, football is starting to decline so it doesn't seem realistic that rugby will grow. There won't even be much of a bounce in interest from the world cup imo due to the match timings.

Isn't the Six Nations on the protected list?

They got Sky to fork out 600mil for 6 years deal for what is pretty much a minority sport in Britain.

Sky have lost a lot to BT over the last few years, Rugby, champions league, MMA, even WWE. They will need to try and get some back. As CVC already have a working relationship with sky it's not too much of a push to see them getting Rugby back when the next TV deal is due. The difference here is Prem Rugby still have control over their destiny rather than CVC running the show unlike F1. CVC are only in it for themselves and as Oldskyblue showed earlier the more they make the bigger their cut. It also means the more they make the more Perm rugby makes. Your right about 6 nations but it's where the money is. As we all know sport follows the money in this day and age.

Did you read the article?
Where has he said it is a million pound?
He actually rubbished it as for the cost of rental etc just ask Boddy he will tell you.

I said he ‘mentioned’ a million pounds. He knows full well it doesn’t cost anywhere near that so why mention that figure at all-unless to have a go at the club.

Dont you think they would have laid the pitch earlier if we had been there?
They had no reason to do it earlier as it wasnt being used.

If you're doing Google ads with silly headlines, I'd suggest you're doing it wrong. Click-through-rates are largely determined by relevant headline, keyword, landing page experience. Anyone telling you otherwise is a blag-artist.

How does the landing page experience impact the CTR if it’s a user’s first interaction with a brand?

Don’t forget Ad extensions ;)

Because landing page experience affects Quality Score and in turn average position (which got a new silly name as of 1st October) and therefore increases CTR
