Robins to Stoke? (1 Viewer)

Yes...has there been an attitude shift? This kind of talk often unsettles the squad.

There is even talk of Everton sacking Marco Silva - they might make a play for MR yet!

Absolutely no chance of Everton going for Robins

Wide of the mark excuses for just a bad day at the office. We will bounce back the football this season has been too good not to.

The fact is that Everton sack their manager & the managerial merry-go-round begins. Not necessarily Everton themselves coming in for him...although I wouldn't automatically discount it either

Okay sorry, I don't think the linkage that was very light made a bit of difference. My view and of course you can disagree.
I expect we are all hopeful that we shall soon confine Saturday's drubbing to distant memory

Barnsley have just sacked their manager, hope he doesn't go back there.

Would say this is more likely than Stoke, however still don't think he'll go there.
Feel they'll go for a lower league manager or one from the roundabout after their previous two European hires.

Last time Robins went there he dragged them from the bottom of the championship to safety, I think he left cause he fell out with the owners but not sure if its the same owners there now?

I would hope that if we went up that more loyalty would be shown to Robins than Barnsley did to their guy. Just got them promoted. Surely success this season would be staying up for them, something that they have a real chance of doing. They are still very much in touch with the teams around them. Having seen Barnsley twice last season and been impressed with them on both occasions, even though we took 4 points from them, you could seen that they had a plan and played good attacking football.

SkyBet gave me 5-1 on Lobov beating Malignaggi in a bare-knuckle fight, what's your point?!

The bookies are ahead of the game, if Barnsley had approached the club, they'd be offering odds on him going there.

I'm not saying it's not true, but I would guess there would be a betting market on it by now if it was.

These markets always start of as a bit of a betting game for the bookies, the market then moves on where the money is going. The money usually goes where people think they have inside information which is quite often wrong.

For example, somebody on a forum will say they've been told something by someone like a youth team coach so they go and put their hard earned on it and the bookie reduce that price accordingly, based on no hard information.

These types of markets are usually very unreliable at an early stage.

So why did they give me 5-1 on a Russian blockhead in a bare-knuckle fight against a guy with history of broken hands and face?

Could Robins be on their radar.

None of the teams are rich / likely to pay compo for a new manager. Sunderland will revert again to 'experience' as it has never failed them, likewise Stoke. No idea with Barnsley but it won't be an English manager imo

So, Nathan Jones has gone. How long before the frothers and the numpties who believe anything a bookie says start on this rumour again, i wonder?
