What is this rubbish about 3rd year losing impact ...? We’ve had new bloody squad every yearConfirms my oft repeated view that he is on a good wedge - and it's even better now. They trust him unlike any other of their 8 previous appointments! The trouble is that he is coming to the end of his third year, which is when managers start to loose impact. His conservatism may yet be his undoing.
Good news on many different levels
Stability for the club as a whole but more importantly the squad
For the structures being put in place,
A clear hands off statement to other clubs, and puts his price up
Shows and demonstrates faith in MR
A clear strategy going forward in terms of what the manager wants to achieve
After losing the academy head it keeps the club direction at the younger ages consistent
Is good PR for the club with the fans
It's positive and simple PR for the owners
A good opportunity to say we want to be back in the city
Well timed and quickly done
What's not to approve ?
Let me guess, "We are a massive club and fuck him if he chooses to stay at Coventry over us pet man like pet man man like pet"
I had a look on there a few days ago and a lot of them had him as one of their top 5 to be appointed. The cognitive dissonance is astounding.
??????????ive heard that had they approached him 15 minutes earlier they would have got him!

Who's on there from here? "Actually, although we are a small club compared to you I think you'll find........................."
Ahh the penny drops, havin a bit of a slow day hereJimmy Hill reference
Easy mistake to make, getting your mascot/nickname/ managers mixed up.The fella criticising Robins for sticking with Swindon over going to them is my favourite. Hoyed his hands up to his mistake after
