Providing the full backs with support is obviously needed, but the formation we play isn't always the easiest to provide it. So I think we need to make sure we're playing the full backs with the most 'nous'. IMO at LB that is Mason. Others may argue differently, as McCallum is taller so less susceptible to the ball over his head and probably a bit more cautious in getting forward.

Mason is very good in a 2 v 1 situation.

Take a point tomorrow, although we need a win to boost morale asap.
Have to remember - we are still top 6, despite this sticky patch.

I think we need a change of style
I’d go with something like the following assuming Godden not playing

Marosi

McFadzean. Rose. Hyam

Dabo. Kelly. Mason.

Westbrook. McCallum.

Biamou. O’Hare

Or Walsh and Shipley for Westbrook and McCallum
Or McCallum for Mason (but I think McCallum might also be decent in midfield)

Width would require Dabo and mason to get forward quickly...I think they are capable.

Fuck me I'm glad you aren't a manager. Mccallum as a CM? O'hare up front? 3 at the back despite not conceding many goals? Literally can't see a single goal coming out of that team.

I dunno... if MR started with this team/tried and trusted 3-3-2-2 formation, I would be pissing myself... although I may need to start drinking in the Royal George from 2pm!

I also remember the Fleetwood game last season. They were very physical and strong, with Evans being a real handful for our defence, so I can see some logic in playing 3 centre backs, with Kelly holding in midfield & pushing the 2 full backs a bit further forward, but is MR ready to change formation yet?

Hard to predict this one, we're out of form and based on that you would imagine a defeat or a point at best but its city so they might just turn it on

Can’t see us getting anything tomorrow if Godden is out hopefully that clown Baka isn’t anywhere near the squad rather McFadzean up front

Tell him to pass it to the opposition keeper and he'll be playing perfect through balls all evenings....

It really is sad listening to talkSPORT and the incessant goal scoring going on - not happening to us at the moment after the excitement of the early matches - even scumberland up 3 on Tranmere who mugged us - still there’s always tomorrow PUSB

Looking at recent results and performances of both teams, I'll go 0-2 to Fleetwood. Their goal difference is far superior to ours. We just ain't scoring goals, and it's goals that win games!

Honestly mate put anyone upfront it’s a waste of time playing him we all know what we are going to get, problem is who plays there ? We put our eggs into the 433 basket without the correct wide players to do it;yes we play lovely football but some of the results are worrying looking back sides who are in the lower half we have lost points against...Feel against a side like Peterborough we will get a real hiding stick
In the mix till jan and recruit properly with 2 front men Is my thinking.

Kelly and McFadz back in!! Results went awful for us last night, lost this and the wheels will fall off.

Probably the biggest game of the season so far

Why would you bring McFadz in when we've looked far far more solid at the back, albeit against two struggling teams, than we did at any point with him in the side. Kelly I agree with but I have not been impressed with McFadz at all since he joined.

McFadz was our best player up until Rotherham

Be interesting to see if MR goes horses for courses and does bring in McFadz with Fleetwood's aerial/set piece threat. Kelly has to come back in for me, either for Walsh or Westbrooke.

Would like to see O'Hare in a 10 role, but imagine the rest of the side will be the same as MK

Loads of nice passing and movement, ball gets to Hiwula and he fucks it up. Dreading tonight if i'm honest, would much rather go gym.

O’Hare has to be brought back inside. I know we don’t have any wide options but he’s been poor out there compared to his performances in the middle. He could be pushed on into the no 10 role as well. Who we would play out wide I have no idea.

Wouldn’t mind Kelly or Mason coming back in either.

I don't have any predictions, just a hope that if it's not working we try something different.

I don't care if it's a change of formation, or giving one of the exciting kids a go, just something to show Robins knows a change is needed. Don't think I can take another 90 minutes of ineffective 4-3-3 with Kastaneer and Baka/Biamou coming on at 75 minutes.
