The local chip shop staying closed on Saturday nights, WTF?

I swear they are determined to not earn money, why close between 2 and 5 pm on a Saturday?

The amount of times I wake up hanging around 2pm and craving the chippy, realising it's closing...

That makes no sense. You could complain to the owner but he probably has a chip on his shoulder.

It's not that long since they had to hire extra staff to help out on Saturdays so it must be one their busiest days.

I can only assume there was some sort of incident on a Saturday night which persuaded them it's no longer worth the bother.

One from my motor trade days. C class estate came in for tyres or brakes, looked everywhere for the locking wheel nut key.

They had every piece of survival equipment neatly stacked in the spare wheel well, including snow shovel (it was summer).

Can't find it, so used workshop one, made a note on the job card. "Oh, I keep that in my garage safe"

So he had the tools for any survival situation including building a snow shelter, foil blankets, glow sticks, emergency rations etc... but wouldn't be able to change a punctured tyre...:banghead:

People letting off fireworks when it's not even Halloween let alone Bonfire Night yet.

Our dog was so frightened it hid under the Christmas Tree.
This genuinely made me laugh.

However you make a decent point. There are firework displays starting this week around our way. Displays are running through to November 9th.
Do displays on the 5th and have done with it.
