Laura K and Peston have several of these a day on twitter. Almost always completely bollocks, usually Cummings trying to change the narrative or throwing out a distraction.

This was exactly what the journalist in question was saying, especially regarding Peston. He described them as sewers spewing directly into a river without going through treatment. Basically saying that they wasn’t doing their job by investigating the substance of what the “leaks from “government sources”” were saying instead choosing to become a mouthpiece for Cummings propaganda fake news. Still, as you can tell from this very thread no one is lapping it up so no harm done;)

Didn't Alexander have meeting with Steve Bannon at some point? Got his fingerprints all over it.
Why this "Alexander" thing? He's called Boris by everyone. Bit like Anthony Blair was called Tony not Anthony, nor was Jeremy John Durham (Paddy) Ashdown called Jeremy. Or the likes of Nigel (Keith) Vaz or Daphne (Barbara) Follett...both Labour, both former ministers.

Is it just your stereo-typical perception of the Tory "toff"/elite/privately educated/upper-class/oxbridge type thing you complex you have going on?

Maybe you (& others) ought to look up the background of some of their (apparently) socialist hero's too before spouting. Blair for one was the son of a Barrister, privately educated, went to Oxford Uni & talks with a plum in his mouth.

Laughable, no one has ever suggested that Blair is a socialist hero.

Would you like to explain why you consider me to be a leaver?

All I do is point out the lies and inaccuracies. This is from both sides. But only one side ever gets noticed by certain people.

This Brexit bullshit has cost me thousands personally already. I need certainty back. I need something to happen. I can't stand many more years of this crap to continue. I don't like comments like 'peoples vote' or similar. It tries to make out that the last vote wasn't a vote of the people. I don't like it when we are supposed to concentrate on one side having told us lies. I don't like it when only one side of parliament are full of shit.

I could continue for ages. But those who don't look at my posts looking for something to have a go at know exactly what I am saying. My family has moved to France. I need to know what I have to do to secure their futures. I have 3 children at school in France. I have my wife who has retired at 52. This is creating a problem. The exchange rate is costing me a lot each month.

So what is wrong with me wanting it over one way or another? Why does it make me a leaver?
In fairness he said "leavers such as yourself, or the likes of Astute...etc"
OR being the key word that suggests he doesn't necessarily consider you to be a leaver.

How about Lord Anthony Wedgwood Benn or Tony to his mates

Well that's two of you & counting!

He led a supposedly socialist political party. Plenty of socialist leaning people voted for said party. Enough said

The only person who has suggested it is you.
And plenty of non socialist leaning people voted for them?

Fucking hell, if Blair's a socialist, is Pinochet considered a moderate now?

Just to put this Boris Alexander thing to bed Boris not an abbreviation of Alexander and is in fact an anglicised version of Bororis. So he’s basically sticking to the current right wing trend of operating under an alias.

Blair was a Marxist and when elected In 1983 was on the most socialist manifesto of the Labour Party in its history - even when he saw that was no road to power he had his communist bruiser chum whose name now escapes me by his side

See the other person's explanation. I was calling ADM a leaver. I was separating out the rest of you because you argue largely on why we should leave, but that doesn't necessarily make you leavers and just favour putting the poll result into practice. There are also those on this thread who mainly state the case for remain even though they voted leave.

Treasonous. How dare the opposition have an alternative opinion to the government.
It's not just an alternative to the government though is it ? It's in defiance of you know what.
I suppose she has to make hay while the sun shines. Post Brexit she'll be packing boxes at Amazon.

I call him Alexander because I believe Boris is nothing more than a character he has created to both disassociate himself from the shitty things he's done to further his own political ambitions and act as the clown to play up to his audience with his buffoonery. Make up don't let him appear like that on TV, he messes his hair up seconds before the cameras roll deliberately.

Frankly I'm not interested in having a comedy or Machiavellian character in charge of the country, so I'll call him by his actual name and the one his friends apparently refer to him by. People should make HIM feel responsible for his own actions not just pass it off as 'Boris'.

I'm aware of Blair's background (whom I never voted for) and Corbyn is a champagne socialist as well.

I wouldn’t get your knickers in a twist anyway. Just been reading that well known communist John Bercow has rejected the motion anyway.
Bercow is a sweaty tomato headed tosser with whom I'd never have left my kids when they were small. Mainly because I didn't know him but he looks sinister to me. Should have been in the exorcist.

Regardless of you know what she’s still entitled to an opinion and as an elected MP to pursue a course of action to assimilate that opinion into action. Without that liberty you know what would never have happened so you should be grateful that we’re the type of democracy that allows this behaviour within our constitution and applaud the use of it.

I’m struggling to think of one MP I would leave my kids with. Sure Boris would be good fun but you would be picking them up from A&E.

There are plenty that do...Google it! Here is one specifically gathered as it is by a Professor who I imagine with fits your view about being "expert" - although I think true to form you will argue with it on at least one count because that is what you do.

If you are aware of his background you'd know that he indeed apparently started to call himself Boris - in his first term at Eton in 1977. Not sure he was in a position to further his political career at that stage beyond education...certainly doubt calling himself Boris would further it anyhow tbh

Just in case anyone is wondering where we’re up to today basically we have grown men getting upset because a grown man is being addressed by his actual name, that’s his actual name, not a nickname he assigned himself at school.
OR is it grown men getting upset that someone pointed something out, when questioning calling him his real name when he has been called Boris since he was a kid, that hit a nerve for them?
