Just watching the build up etc, and I don't think I have ever seen such a one sided build-up!

culminating in the fact that "Coventry are going to delve into their youth team today"! - Gabby Logan

They have paid us no attention all season, have no idea what is going on and generally don't care - what made this worse was Claridge was in the studio - dick!

rant over!

True but the very nature of the BBC is supposedly unbiased!

I liked it when Logan said "We may talk about them at length later on"!!! Hah!

Baker is the worst player I have ever seen in a Coventry shirt! Fucking hate him!
Big respect to everyone that went!

But Soton are the sole reason the game has been selected for coverage.

They probably looked at it thinking both teams would need a win as we may not have gone down.. Least a week or so ago.

The commentary on 5Live was somewhat respectful to us, apparently our sky blue shirts are famous.

Baker was arguably the best player for Cov first half he never stopped, did you watch the game?

Baker was probably our best player today! I know things are tough right now but seriously chap don't embarrass yourself with stupid, idiot comments like that!

I agree, had an ok game and was one of the better today, very self fish when he should have passed. If Baker is still here next season then it stinks of lack of ambition.

Baker was our brightest going forward, no doubt.
Proud of Cranie, he held it together when it could have been a cricket score.
Only disappointments for me were Bigi, McDonald and Jeffers. However, they all tried hard and I would not fault any of our boys for effort or heart.
The key word is boys. This was men v boys.
Next season we need a big, hard goalscorer, a Robbie Savage type midfielder, a quick winger (all experienced players) and we might get somewhere.

I actually wrote to the BBC to complain. Must be getting old. Couldn't believe they cut away for interviews when the game was still going on!

Agreed, serious lack of respect that, can't remember the last time live coverage of a game cut away to comments from the winning team in stoppage time. OK, Saints were 4-0 up by then, but still.... :thinking about:

This isnt new. Every single time i've watched a city game on the tv, which isnt often because they mostly seem to be home games and im already there, there's hardly any mention of us. the build up is always focused on the opposition. We never get a mention or credit for anything good that we do. and for coventry to be relegated to league 1, maybe i'm bias but thats massive news in english football!! yet its not even newsworthy

if we were to bounce back next season and get promoted i imagine it will be the most low key promotion ever. we wont get a mention. its always annoyed me but ccfc are so unfashionable according to television companies.

It was apt that Strachan was there too. He was as clueless about Cov as the rest, which was no surprise

I dont get it?

What did people expect today, it was about promotion to the Premier laegue not some bag of sh*te team on their downers like us.

This was about viewers seeing a team potentially get promoted and they got it. Fair play to Southampton, they deserved it, and probably all the coverage.

Lets face it if the shoe was on the other foot it would have been all about us, and that is what we would have wanted.

To be fair to Strachan after congratulating Southampton at the end, he did say how bad he felt for us and that with changes he was confident we would be back.

Meh, what did we expect, today was about them, not us.

Saints fan on 606 thanking the City fans for being fantastic today. Said both us and Pompey can use relegation as a platform like them and come back stronger. Nice touch.

Savage says we were the best side first 15-20 mins and it's the front two that make the difference at that level, as today showed. So that's a bit more even-handed by the Beeb!

Ah fair play, I didn't hear Strachan at the end.

There was literally nothing about us though. I didn't expect an equal share of the coverage but that was ridiculous. I know we're not in anyway big news but our plight is a serious one, and for a club like us going down to that level for the first time in nearly fifty years, they could have spares a few minutes for us at least.

YES, Saints fan on 606 now is brilliant: spoke about their owners and how they'd turned them around, then said "But my heart coldn't help but go out to those Coventry fans. They've been bought by some people who very nearly bought Southampton, and the fans had their banners against them there today..I heard they're paying 1m a year just to rent out their ground-what chance have they got?"

Well said mate! Savage said "Really? Is that how much it is?!?" All good publicity.

HI fellas, I said to the missis, as we scanned the crowd, looking for our Grandson Jack, who had gone in fancy dress, along with five mates, "This amounts
to a lock out of our fans," I said, I think we got about ten seconds, in the entire match.
Luckily, we Spotted him, I suppose. it would be hard to miss a six foot Banana,in the company of a chili pepper, Elvis, and Michael Jackson, clocked the hatters too, well done to all city fans who travelled.
Regards......Tankie..

....... and Gabby Logan's dad once played for us (Terry Yorath). AND she went to Bishop Ullathorne school! Bitch! Thought there might have been more support coverage for us. I was livid to see Gordon Strap-on in the studio. Felt he was there just to gloat at us, but then remembered that he used to manage Soton as well. Can't STAND him!!! :jerkit:

To be fair everytime we do play anyone on TV were never given the recognition we deserve. I was there yesterday and I had a great time, Coventry City fans out sung Saints for most the game so I don't know if the TV mic's just werent near us cos loads of people have said they couldn't hear Coventry fans. I really hope something changes for us over the Summer because the way Coventry fans respected Southampton fans yesterday and gave them a lot of support when they won was really special to see in a football match. Our fans deserve better than they've gotten this season.

Must admit i didnt like the way they started interviewing while game was going on ......... but it was Southamptons day of success and the coverage reflected that. What would you honestly expect.... apart from the in match interview I dont have much problem with it

Strachan was the only one in the studio that tried to steer conversation towards us. But again it was about Saints getting promoted so understandably the focus was on them.

Try reading the CT match report ............ seems they have moved their offices south !
