Jordan Shipley this season
21 games 3 goals 3 assists

Tom bayliss last season

41 games 3 goals 3 assists

17 months age difference

Zain Westbrooke

15 games 3 goals 4 assists
Tbf to Bayliss he spent the first half of last season running around for Doyle. He'd work much better in this system I think. Westbrooke and Shipley have done well, in the case of the former better than expected and improving still.

Bin Kasta in Jan or keep him?

He has been an unused sub in the last 5 games now despite having a lack of attacking options. It’s not as simple as binning him off though as he has a 3 year contract which he’s 6 months into

Bakayoko is categorically not one of our worst ever strikers. As others I’ve said he scores more than Fans hero McNulty at this level. What he is is a young lad low on confidence who, like all our other strikers, gets pretty poor service when on his own up top.

The miss was poor, we’ve seen all of our strikers miss open goals this season. Welcome to League One, where have you been the last few years?

For every Bakayoko there’s a Kevin Kyle or a Callum Ball. Thankfully Walsh saved his blushes yesterday.

There was a brilliant cross towards the end of the first half where a natural striker would have already started moving to get Infront of the defender, he doesn't do it and it's frustrating to watch
Not sure that can be coached as it is instinct as much as anything. He has done it from time to time but just doesn't enough, he seems switched off a lot of the time. Interesting watching Godden play compared with Baka

I do like this workaround of 1 striker and 2 atrack mids buzzing aroujd him and pushing on mind you

O hare could be a starter in this role

Sunderland away next. Tough game. Win and autos are back on. Draw and playoffs on. Lose and well still playoffs possible!

That’s fair enough. All I’m saying is Bakayoko didn’t look on his toes, which is still pretty naff. O’Hare looked like he was paid not to score, the ball was moving slower and along the floor.

To be fair, Yeovil had a near identical miss to Baka’s this week. Just looks worse because he’s basically on the goal line.

It’s November dude. We were cruising in the playoffs in late December 2015 and ballsed it up. Anything will still be on regardless of the result.

Auto’s? My word-you weren’t one of them singing E I E I E I O were you considering it’s only the middle of November?

Bakayoko has scored more than Oxlade Chamberlain at this level

And what about Rashford's miss for Man Utd last week? All strikers will miss chances, it's how they react to it which is the real thing for discussion. In Bakayoko's case, I think he just doesn't believe in himself enough.

Biamou and godden will be a good pairing when both back

Second half of the season with those two up front and Kelly, Allen, Jones all available

We can reduce that to 1 simply through our matches against each other

Surely on form and games won they have a better chance of doing that against us? I’m not sure I would use the world simply

I wouldn’t be dismissive of Wycombe because they’re a small club and don’t play an exiting brand of football
