Allen and Walsh were decent.

Robins and the ref were shit. O'Hare and godden may as well have not bothered.

Not sure O'Hare is good enough to play in league one consistently. He's a squad player at best and seemingly more effective coming off the bench.

Marosi 6
Dabo 6
McFadzean 7
Rose 6
Mccallum 5
Kelly 6 got caught in possession a lot, if by some miracle we got promoted I think he'd struggle with the pace of the Championship
Walsh 7 thought he was good, tidied up a lot
Allen 7 worked hard and good movement
O'Hare 5 - overplays, clearly talented but naive at times, was clear early on that the full back had the measure of him
Shipley 6 - poor apart from the goal but doesn't suit playing on the left in fairness to him
Biamou 5 - didn't offer much

Subs
Godden 5 - similar to Biamou, thankless task playing up on your own
Baka and Kastaneer not on long enough but Kasta actually looks to have shed some weight

Robins 0 playing against a team with a mean defence that don't score much but we play with one up front and a midfield 3 sat just in front of the back 4. The game had changed early second half and we didn't react at all. Left it far too late when the game was there for the taking. It isn't good enough.

Am I allowed to not rate Godden yet? Or is it still isolated

The bloke is scared, even pre injury

^this^

Biamou and Godden were completely isolated, and were given zero service.

Can’t bring myself to even give ratings but I’ll second this.

Robins again out thought by another manager but this manager has only been in the game of management 2 years...embarrassing to play 1 upfront at Shrewsbury

Cba to do them but O'Hare and Shipley were poor second half.

Robins to blame for me.

I think we all agree to start how we did at Ipswich? I did anyway but at half time we all could see we needed to go 2 upfront Robins brings the subs on 90th min 2-1 down it’s not good enough O’Hare is a liability

Why does he even bother?? It’s like he’s embarrassed so he thinks I’ll tick the box and at least I’ve made a change
I was actually head in hands of embarrassment for him to see Baka & Kastaneer coming on why not make the system change at half time ? So disappointed mate today after that, even I was calling for Baka to come on today mate the ball was just coming back at us too fast

Have to agree with these comments. Robins cost us 3 pts today. O’Hare and Shipley 2nd half weren’t in it, legs had gone yet he left Westbrooke on the bench who has shown time and time again he has a great engine. The writing was on the wall as to what was going to happen after just 5 minutes of the 2nd half. At that stage he should imo changed shape and brought Westbrooke on and gone 2 up top.

Marosi - 6
Dabo - 6
McFadzean - 7 when he’s not making mistakes he’s really decent at this level
Rose - 6
McCallum- 6
Wash - 8 thought he was superb
Kelly - 5 rare poor performance
O’Hare 5 - offered very little
Allen 7 - grew into the game
Shipley 4 - that includes an extra 1 for the goal. So poor today
Biamou 5 - didn’t offer anything

Godden 6 - thought we improved once he came on and he made the right runs. Not really sure why there’s so much criticism of him today. Wasn’t great but wasn’t particularly bad?

I can't believe O'Hare has become the fall guy today. He wasn't great but they targeted him and kicked lumps. Certainly has some talent still and I think we're lucky to have him. Should be different expectations as a 10 but behind 2 strikers.

It just wasn’t really his day. Nothing really fell right for him and I guess people look back on the 1-2 with Shipley. Wasn’t great but he’ll be an important player throughout the season for sure

Think your analysis of the Max and Godden ratings is right. Both set up to fail by MR who can't see when 2 forwards is needed.

Mariosi 6 Done a bit of a Burge impression for the first goal but we still had plenty of chances to clear it.

McCallum 5 Not one of his better days.

Dabs 6 Ok but could he have closed the ball down more for their second goal?

Rose 6 Nothing really tested him.

McFadz 6 Some good important blocks-maybe should have done better with the chance presented to him.

Walsh 7 possibly the best of the midfield.

Kelly 6 Not his usual self-didn’t really dictate play as we know he can.

Allen 6 Busy but not really at the races after half time.

Shipley 5 Extra point for the goal but a poor day at the office. Everything he tried just didn’t come off.

O”Hare 5 Better off the bench perhaps? Went down far too easy on occasions and not just today.

Biamou 4 People quiet rightly have a go at Baka but he was in that catagory today.

Subs Godden 5
Kasta n/a
Baka n/a
Robins 4 Got it wrong today I’m afraid.

Crowd 4 Thought the performance on the pitch filtered into the stands.
A bad day at the office all round.

I would personally agree with you here mate. He is extremely lightweight and gets pushed over too easily but today they kicked the shit out of him and the ref just didn’t want to give anything. Ref wanted to be home ASAP.
Physical development will make him stronger obviously and experience will teach him how to adjust his style or get himself in between the defender and the ball to draw fouls more. He’s so small it often looks like he’s just bounced off stronger players.

He tried to do too much for his chance and should’ve done better. Not sure he expected Shipley to play him in there and also, not just making excuses for him, but that pitch was shite today so could’ve played a part in him over hitting it. Again, experience.

Agree we sat that deep that all of our attacking players were feeding off scraps and half chances.

On a side note, Walsh came over to talk to a young fan at the end of the match (may have been a relative) and I couldn't believe how young/little he looked!
