He booked the goalie then but he didn't book for the foul on the other keeper.

He originally gave a foul on the keeper.

Its just said he is one of the top refs, he has had 2 pen decisions overturned in the past 2 games.

VAR has just had to send Son off as well.

Terrible to see Rudiger doing monkey gestures. First time I've seen a player do it.
Terrible to HAVE to do monkey gestures you mean?

Wasn't he just relaying to the officials what had been happening and aimed at him?

Don't know what Gazzaniga was thinking, all he had to do was go to catch or punch and he either gets the ball or probably wins the free kick as goalkeepers always get the decision in that situation. Not sure how the ref managed to give a free kick to Spurs originally, it was a properly poor attempt at a ninja kick!

Son's red card, well you can't get away with that with VAR watching. OK, Rudiger's reaction was totally pathetic, but the leg movement was clear as daylight and inviting someone to make a decision. If he doesn't do it, he can't get sent off.

As for the behaviour of the spurs fans, well that was just disgusting. Throwing things at the players, racism. I'm sure they'll find out who's responsible and I hope they never set foot in a football stadium again.

Didn't see the match but its reported on the BBC live feed that the crowd were warned three times.

Thought the protocol was one warning then the second time take the teams to the dressing rooms and third time abandon the match. What happened to that? Were they more concerned about not upsetting Sky?

Surely whoever said that is going to be in the shit.

The occurrence of these ‘chants’ is very worrying, it was naive to think that it ever went away though.

I can't get my head round why, after all the recent stuff they expect to get away with it.
The fact they're racist tells you they aren't the brightest to start off with but how can anyone expect to be at a PL game, especially one thats live on TV, and expect to get away without being caught on camera?

You would think a brand new stadium would have every bit of the stands covered by CCFC too.

I was saying to my wife last night....Theres 60,000 people in that stadium. Its safe to say that there will be racists there, there will be homophobes there and there will be people from all walks of life, good and bad. Same in every ground up and down the Country. For the life of me though, I can't work out why it's getting so hot again.

It’s as if the nationalistic rhetoric of the leave campaign and the current right wing opinions in politics have legitimised it??
