Fisher said we were going to have the same kind of wage budget but that isn't to bad as we've lost two of our highest earners Eastwood and clingan freeing up 15k already at least 4-5 league 1 players there and then with Ireland hreidasson about 3 k so 1 or 2 there we could get a few players in.

I'd get rid of everyone. Part from youth and Clarke & Hussey

3 Center backs - 4 Center Midfielders, 2 forwards. Then spend a bit more on wages for 3 or 4 wingers and a goal scorer.

Edit: save whats left over for loans or January transfer window as not every player will settle or perform as required.

I would treat any thing about the same budget for next year as total bulls++t. Its all marketing crap trying to sell season tickets. If we are losing so much money like they say we are what incompetant tool from SISU would agree to allow the same budget as last season, the debt will never decrease by agreeing this.

Simple maths in my opinion, to reduce your debt you must reduce your budget/outgoings

i disagree simple maths not simple business to stop losing money you need to have assets not decrease the wage budget we need to own the stadium how would decreasing the wage budget it help there still losing money buy having to pay rent for our stadium and selling all out money making assets.

It was posted in the last couple of days, IIRC it's £1500 p/w with only 65% off turnover allowed to be spent. The average is around 5,000 fans, with the majority below, (figures inflated due to the sheffield clubs & Charlton). That may be wrong, it's just what i remember.

I'm probably being hopeful here but maybe relegation was a kick in the teeth they needed to wake up - than £4m loss in revenue will have hit them hard and getting us promoted might be financially viable in the medium-long term so the penny might have dropped.

That's correct. I reckon with an average gate of 12k we can afford to pay a squad of 25 players, 2k a week on average. We won't be allowed to exceed the 65% without being given a transfer embargo, so it's irrelevant to talk about SISU increasing the budget for players wages unless the fans turn out in greater numbers. With the academy graduates probably on 1k a week, we can probably have 5 or 6 players on 3k+ at the top end.

when we signed Dann and Fox from Walsall (L1) they were on £250 a week and we paid them £3k a week so i do think we're in with a chance of competing next season especially with the absence of a big team if the two Sheffield clubs go up.

Sorry but I do not believe that Dann and Fox were only on £13k per year (£250p/w) that's less than a dustbin man or junior admin person gets.. In fact you probably get more than that flipping burgers at maccy d's.

That was the figure i heard but remember when they were at Walsall they were youth players who were initially loaned to Blue Square clubs like we do with Nuneaton Borough so they certanly weren't earning £1000's a week.

They'd still be on double that at least even at Walsall. The average L1 youngster is probably 800-1k p/w. That big move to a giant like us will see agents demanding 3k at least, and we'll be "blown out of the water" by Championship clubs-but nothing new there!

The rules do not apply to newly relegated clubs to allow adjustment time.

Just for clarity and update am I right in saying that the "Club" have only the gate money as the main revenue stream and we have no matchday benefit from:

* Programmes
* Catering throughout the inner concourse (Drinks, Pies etc)
* Car Parking
* Corporate catering in hospitality boxes

Plus of course if we owned half or all of the Ricoh we would have access to:

* Function halls
* Hotel complex
* Concerts
* "Casino" maybe ??

etc

Does anyone have a more positive handle on exactly what are our current revenue streams as we stand and potential streams for owning part or all of the Ricoh ???

The people who run the casino pay a fixed price to use the Ricoh for it and run it privately; its takings aren't included in Ricoh revenue.
