In my opinion it means that he's a success over a longer period and is putting up a similar win ratio to a man who got us promoted a couple of times... It also means we should stick with him and his plan

Hard to gauge how good a manager is for a club in the long term if they've done well over 30 40 games etc

He's the only manager to bring relative success during an absolutely horrendous 20 year period in the clubs history... And still looks like we are gearing for even more success... Credit where its due... We've had some high profile names here who have absolutely failed

Best manager in my lifetime (1982)

Hope he can get another promotion on c.v. prob matter of time till a club higher in hierarchy takes another punt on him

there’s no chance a big club will come in for him - Slade in terms of promotion championship games etc is pretty much the same as Robins

I agree to an extent, but it's all relative, the lower the division the lower the budget, smaller buying power etc...

Er no as in league two we had one of the top attendances and also top 7 budgets so achieving 10th in the top flight is a far bigger achievement

I merely said he is doing better in terms of wins and half decent results than the major majority of managers we have had in recent years

Er no as in league two we had one of the top attendances and also top 7 budgets so achieving 10th in the top flight is a far bigger achievement

Like I said I somewhat agree with you, but think you are also taking away from a remarkable turnaround of a club in free fall, that had no players on long contracts and that plays its home football matches away from the city.. We are currently punching above our weight in league 1 with teams like Sunderland, Ipswich and pompey and Rotherham massively outdoing us wage wise... Like I said the job he's doing is fantastic

Anyone who compares Robins’ impact with Jimmy Hill wasn’t around in the 1960’s.

But from the (admittedly limited) times I’ve seen us this season I’d say this could be the best footballing side we’ve had since dropping into the third tier (including the purple patches we had under Robins before and under Mowbray).

Considering the state of the pitch, some of the passing football today was amazing. The missing ingredient is still a beast of a striker, and it remains to be seen whether Godden can deliver over a full season.

Depends how you define big - it was a bit of a vague comment from me.

I meant a team in the league above. If we get promoted then no one in the Premier League will be in for him so we'll be fine, but if we don't go up this season I do fear that a Championship club will take him.

Yes I agree to an extent but he has been for what ever reason supported more by the ownership model than most past managers and the sales have covered by like for like replacements
