Another great result...PUSB
The other games went quite well for us too :)
With Bournemouth in freefall and currently 0-3 down at WHU, could a Bournemouth relegation see Callum Wilson on the move ??
Definitely
Back into the premiership

People keeping banging this drum about Wilson being sold and us getting a share. Is this definitely the case or more made up cobblers and people guessing again?

What evidence would you like exactly? We can only go on what is reported in the media.

And we had one for Maddison who had proven less when we sold him so it would make sense to have one for Wilson too

Godden finishing well now he's getting some chances and is hopefully brimming with confidence. Again, will struggle if he gets crocked and on pitches like that anything can happen, though I'm glad we performed well on that mud pit. Lovely link play for the second - was particularly pleased it came off, as you'd expect Bacc or OHare to go it alone after just coming on. Autos a definate POSSIBLITY, if we can keep our heads and not get carried away after breaking the away duck in some style.

Tranmere fans on social media are funny tbh, said city were the quietest fans they've had up there this season lol, seem a bitter bunch tbh

And I think Robins has commented on it which basically confirms it
Not sure I would be listening to the media-especially if it was the Telegraph.
Must say I’ve never heard Robins mention it either-has anyone else?

It’s been brilliant since Robins came back. With no injuries to key players and some luck, we have a chance of going up.

I do realise this is a statement of the bleeding obvious by the way.

Yes just looked it up. Cup game in between. Don Dorman scored in Division 3 South
I like to attend Warwick Auctions (in the city centre), work shift patterns permitting. A couple of years back there was a couple (middle aged chap and whom I presume was his mother) who were having a particularly good day in successful bidding. Never noticed them at any previous auction but did notice they had a brummie accent and gave their name to the auctioneer as "Dorman".
I was aware of a former player by that surname (mistakenly thought he was the 'makeweight' in the Peter Murphy transfer)
At the end of the auction I couldn't leave without asking if they were any relation to the former B'ham City and Coventry City player, and guess what?

They'd never heard of him?

Westbrooke I like but he bottle tackles, and is a little lightweight. I can't help thinking Allen is the missing cog now to a complete side?

That's right. In fact, it was my mistakenly assuming their surname to be 'Dorman', when it was actually 'Borman'. I was tempted, but decided not to enquire about any possible predecessor.
However, the story does not end there... Whilst they had quite a 'prolific' day, mine was 'mediocre' at best. I think I managed to secure three lots. Two of which I managed to sell on with a tidy little profit but I've still got a pair of repro Rococo period, sterling silver candlesticks which on reflection, I probably paid a little too much for.
Lovely condition and I'm willing to sell them on at a loss if anyone's interested?

Just watched the highlights and I have to say the pitch really helped us score our third goal. Check out how the mud stops the ball perfectly for Bakayoko

We won this game with 60% possession, 18 shots on goal and 7 on target.

We lost the game at St Andrews 0-1 to them with 70% possession, 19 shots and 1 on target.

That doesn’t mean we have 70% possession

Possession is measured by the amount of competed passes isn't it? Not by a bloke with a stopwatch measuring how long we have the ball.

I read through this thread after getting back from Birkenhead. Presumably most posters would have watched the same game as I did, many of the on Ifollow. They would have seen how we absolutely controlled the first half and that even after Tranmere scored that that control continued for the rest of the first half.
Having seen that story unfold in the first half, why would he have made any change that at that stage clearly wasn't necessary?
The comments on here criticising Robins for not making changes during Tranmere's purple patch are particularly unfair.

Classic Robins. Get a change on

What the hell does MR say at HT to change things so drastically against us?

Always is the problem with Robins - he never adapts his formation or game play despite the opposition doing it

Typical Robins where are the changes !!!

He does nothing, that's the problem. He needs to anticipate what they'll do but doesn't. They've just stepped up 10 yards and we've sunk back.

The above are a few of the comments at the time Tranmere were on top. We had our subs warming up from the start of the second half. The staff were talking to one or two, giving out technical information, within 5 minutes of the restart. Robins brought on Bakayoko and O'Hare and changed the game back in our favour (within minutes both had combined to set up Godden second goal).
These comments come after two successive wins (the second of which was a 4-1 win at the home of the previously unbeaten league leaders) and after a brilliant half of football on a paddy field of a pitch.
I get people being anxious and annoyed at the team for, at the time, potentially letting all of the great stuff in the first half go to waste. But why the constant anti Robins stuff? You can bet your life that if Robins had made a change at half time and Tranmere had dominated it would have been his fault for bringing someone on.
I think some people want a miracle worker instead of a mere mortal as manager.

Erm, you have an issue with people calling for a change when it was also obvious to MR a change was needed?

Look what happened when a change was made...

No. the issue, as usual, is the unfair criticism that Robins gets. He was being given stick a few minutes into the second half of a game which up to that point we had dominated. Yes, he did change things, not like for like (another criticism) and we comfortably won our third game on the bounce to go third in the table. Good manager. We are lucky to have him.

To be fair though Nick Robins was probably waiting to see if Tranmere would make any changes at half time before he made his

So people were right in calling for changes then?
