New Ricoh rumour (12 Viewers)

I think I have only seen one side of the road closures but will it affect many businesses?

The one where the buses go there's only the pub there that's open and it's rammed.

The other one is the back end of the retail park so imagine it has little impact.

Everyone The Coventrian comes into contact with they seem to have a problem with him
Definitely either the coventarian charting complete shite or you’re right that it’s only him they have a problem with. I like 3/4 others after his comment work in Birmingham and every blues fan I work with, which is a lot cause I work a stones throw away from St. Andrews don’t mind us being there as we don’t affect their games. They are also very sympathetic of us being homesless. Yes you get the banter but it’s more cities of Coventry vs Birmingham rivalry rather than the football so maybe the coventarian is just a proper victim or plays the victim card at work lol

Let’s be honest, if the club owners are happy and it means games get played it’ll happen.

Remember Birmingham have financial problems and CCFC's contribution is mainly bunce and adds to the income for Fair Play ( or whatever ) calculations

more against it would be the businesses who have two road closures rather than one over two weeks ?
Of course the flip side of that is the businesses getting more trade. Sure the pubs nearby don't object to the extra custom.

I know it doesn't really mean anything but the rumour was being talked about quite a bit yesterday at the ground and most people seemed to be of the opinion that it would be happening.

I've had a couple of Blues fans sitting next to me at matches... Even cheering Cov on. Must be nice watching a decent team play there
Had this too. Difficulty is trying to explain the circs, they don't realise how many different parties have blood on their hands.

Lived over this way and worked in Brum for nearly 40 years, all the blues fans I know are fine with it and empathic with our dilemma. Bit of banter at how the "cak" have fallen from grace after so long a top flight club, but nothing hateful. Only bad word they have for us is Ferguson helping to send them down.

Which would be strange for someone who doesn't go to games or ever look at match threads.
How do you know he never looks at match threads?
I read most the threads on here but half the time I am not logged in so it wouldn't show up.

Had a lad behind us at Bristol he had a blues top on said he had a season ticket for both Brum and Cov as he was blues and his missus was a Sky Blue. Did cheer us on.
Commented on how well we play did say we could do without a reply as the pitch is starting to cut up.

he doesn't, never comments on football matters. But always all over the 'political football' threads.
Him and a few others. Or are you suggesting there usernames appear in users who have viewed this thread list for all the Ricoh and wasps threads but they log out for the match and player ratings?
That seems implausible to me.

Don't know if it has been mentioned, but the pitch at the Ricoh looks horrendous, there is a clip on twitter of a whole slab of the pitch coming up clearly showing that the pitch wasn't given the time to set in.

Did ACL/Wasps decide the timescale for pitch relaying after the CCFC leaving decision, or would the pitch not have been ready anyway?

I think the events were booked anyway.
That's what happened, the time scale was dictated my events already booked in the arena. the pitch is actually holding up quite well section have lifted a couple of time when there has been a scrum on a join in the turf but generally it looks to taken very well, the big difference this year is less activity on it and the grass has been left slightly longer.

Do you think we'll be back this season?
