What are they?

The Athletic is an online source of in-depth sports journalism. Started in the US, now making inroads here. They work closely with Tifo Football.

Tifo Football posts videos on YouTube which are looking at a particular topic and they're often quite overtly political. It has borrowed content from print media (e.g. The Blizzard) and packaged it as a video.

Copa 90 is a YT channel, has a focus on fan culture, often advocates for fans that have been treated badly. We've been mentioned before, but not on our own. Recently did a great short documentary on Bury.

The Blizzard is a quarterly print magazine that football writers use to get their serious, in depth stories out there. Lots of contributors from around the world. Well thought of and a bit of an inspiration for Tifo, possibly the others, too.

We don’t need any names it then looks like a weird petition and not a formal group

Agree, leave the names off. Also wouldn't put figures in the first paragraph other than to say it's a community of 7500 users (or whatever it is)

If you do add names please add mine, although just from the Sky blues Talk Community sounds acceptable!

So a statement from Sky Blues Talk community issued as a press release.

I can text it to cwr through Stuart
Email it to Coventry observer

Get full agreement on here of as many as we can and needs to mention nothing other than the current position as we see it form 7500 members

Starter for 10 then

We, the Coventry City football club community on the Sky Blues Talk forum wish to make the following statement to express our dissatisfaction at the current situation regarding Coventry City playing their games away from the city that bares our name.

We need to be back playing our home games in Coventry. Staying away is playing Russian roulette with our future and our existence.

We acknowledge that our fan base have different opinions on whether to travel to St Andrews this season and hold no grudge against any fan attending or not attending. We recognise Mark Robins and the squads commitment to success on the pitch and agree with him that the more supporters able to financially support the team will increase the chances of success this season and make no difference to decisions being taken behind the scenes regarding moving back to the Ricoh.

So we publicly call on wasps to remove the requirement for Ccfc to sign an indemnity clause to cover any losses relating to the Eu commission complaint and for Ccfc / Sisu to recommit to their legal agreement to not pursue any legal action against wasps regarding the sale of the Ricoh.

We further call on the local media to present an unbiased presentation of the facts and to pursue a resolution to the current impasse enabling us to move back to Coventry without delay

Pusb

Pete Xxxxxxxx surname if needed onbehalf sky blues talk.

PS: We'd be very grateful if Wasps could fuck off.

Right apologies. On phone so you might get comedy weird. Take or leave these comments.

Now the media have less people, you need to write the article for them. So start 'The skybluestalk forum has expressed their dissatisfaction...'

It needs a quote at / towards the end. So, maybe 'Pete XXXX, a forum user, said " it became clear that whatever our differences, one thing we were united in was the need for Wasps to drop the indemnity clause..."' Yadda Yadda Yadda.

You need a contract. 'for more information, contact'. I'd suggest Nick as forum owner, who can forward to relevant people if there's media follow-up.

One thing you can be sure, if you give a chance, the message you want giving won't be the one received. The message is indemnity clause, indemnity clause, indemnity clause, with a spot of god we may not exist, don't dilute that with sentences about the Trust. That's an easy headline to take and the story becomes about fan rivalry when it's actually about unity.

Absolutely it needs an about - what the site is, and maybe number of users, number of views etc. all of which aren't media site level, but this is just CCFc. Might be worth comparing like for like so with other forums - are we the largest forum for a League One club?

Anyway apologies for the intrusion.

I agree it needs some final refinements to make it perfect. Great idea and I am hopeful or will get some high level acknowledgement and piss off the trust who clearly are a group in decline.

It’s so difficult to manage a statement by committee.
I don’t disagree about the contact @Nick can I do that in any way? Or about the numbers.

It has to be real names, otherwise we like like characters from Grange Hill.

it is still difficult to link most (although not mine- and I don’t care) to specific usernames.

My name is Vitali Zynynazyn if that makes a difference.
