Lucky FIFA, UEFA, the FA, EPL and EFL have such integrity, right? You don't have to like the sport, but don't talk sh*te on a subject you know nothing about.
Stinging response.

This is so going to the Court of Arbitration. Even if saracens uses it to delay things.

Unless they are happy with the decision. hard to tell from the little info that is out

They will probably and hopefully appeal. They haven't had time to trim the wage bill or release players from there contacts from when they were found guilty earlier in the season.

FFS....
Wasps leading a charmed life this season... one off payment of a few million quid from TV deal that has single handed made their finances look a tiny bit ok, now no bloody relegation when they look absolutely terrible.......
Anyone with the slightest bit of Rugby knowledge know if they may have two relgation spots??
Surely now this season is just going through the motions for half the teams??....
Shudder to think that Wasps may even sign some of their players...
After a City win, Cov RFC win, a Wasps thrashing at "home" .... this has taken some of the shine off it...
Will this strengthen Wasps position over is Regarding Ricoh as they now know they won't be relegated????

If they all hate Saracens so much maybe they will try to close the trap door while they are down

Would think that’s it sadly. I would be incredibly surprised if they let another team go down with them. There was serious consideration whether to have 0 teams relegated this season anyway.

We need to move on. These guys will be given every opportunity to survive. That’s why we need our own stadium with 365 revenues.

Surely that’s the total integrity of Rugby Premiership trashed, at least for the rest of this and next season.

maybe, but not sure why we are bothered. This is the sport that let a club move to Coventry from 70 odd miles away. If anything, this might focus the efforts on us actually getting our own stadium

They're happy (as they can be) with it, as appealing would mean opening their books for a proper full forensic audit - and that really wouldn't be pretty. And could potentially result in their being kicked out of the league system (which, imo, they should be).

Regardless of the relegation.. attendance down to 6,000 today! I know it wasn’t a big game and they were already out but the bubble is bursting.

(And regarding the headline above... “8 years since last being blown out” - says man on 8th wedding anniversary)

Looking at pictures of the Ricoh yesterday, I would be amazed if there were actually 6,000 there.

Hard to believe they're the only club doing it, might be the most extreme example but there's no way the other clubs aren't trying to find ways around the cap.

Theoretically is there anything to stop them now joining another league? If they joined Pro14 that could have a knock on effect to the Premiership in terms of devaluing their competition and potentially you could see other clubs jump.

Premiership rugby is still a relatively new thing, one club leaving could quickly become two or three.

Well I’m a huge Worcester Warriors fan for the next 7 days, and whoever Wasps are playing after that get my support.. only problem being I don’t like or understand the sport...

If they went down everything changes overnight

Sooner or later this was going to happen (a loss of interest in Wasps) - I called this years ago.
Did they really expect with no local heritage whatsoever that they could rock up to a random City a 100 odd miles away and be accepted by everyone and then put the noses of loyal sporting fans out of joint while they were at it - arrogance of the highest order!
Wasps are interlopers and are simply getting to reap what they sow - I’ve never known a club that play locally to be so hated - this will not end well for them I will tell you now.

I’m not bothered, more pleased as it devalues the brand.

Whats happening with the FCA investigation re the Franchise Rugby Club misleading the financial markets ?
It started last April but have nt seen anything since..

Just listening to the rugby show on CWR - interview with Dai Young Wasps manager saying how relieved he & Wasps as a club are that no further clubs will be relegated this season - lucky fuckers - however apparently other Premiership clubs are suspected of similar financial irregularities that are going to be investigated (Wasps I wonder?)
Think you will see gates plummet at Ricoh as nothing to play for now this season.

I contacted someone at the FCA a few months back and they said there is no investigation

said before there's no way there's only one club doing it.

A "warning " was put out some time ago that all Rugby Clubs could come under Compliance Checks alongside HMRC enquiries
The unofficial advice was both parties would probably go back 2 years unless something serious was found
In general must clubs took heed and the last two years records will be as clean as can be
