You have to provoke something to get a reaction. If one article somewhere in the nationals prints the statement it’s as good as can be hoped at this stage. The trust are so bad at managing PR they just trip themselves up. Neil is having a nightmare on social media now. Some classic quotes to chuck back

Some of us are hoping for a little more than ammunition for a Twitter fight.

Yku have to get a story in the national media somehow to highlight the issue that wasps are forcing us out. The trust have sent statements to senior sports journalists that do not support this at all and this has to be rectified somehow. This is a step in that direction. Wasps are far more sensitive to negative publicity and a source from another rugby club in the premier league tells me Richardson is not at all happy

So we have 368 votes, which is nice. Here’s a suggestion that all 368 of us can get involved in. Text tweet and call in blitz for Fridays phone in and again post match labouring the points made in the statement and then keep doing it until Wasps do the right thing. Is there such a thing as a Wasps phone in on CWR? Could do the same for that too if there is.

Going for a salty award too?

Thanks to the statement, we’ve finally forced the Trust to acknowledge the indemnity. It’s out there now, we have a voice. Time will tell where it goes from here.
Exactly, would they have mentioned it otherwise?

They desperately need new blood as they can't get over sisu, their objective of getting them out overrides everything
The simple reason for that is in their constitution!

POWERS
5.The Society may achieve these objects in whole or in part through an interest or in-terests in companies or societies provided that the objects of the companies or so-cieties are consistent with the Society’s objects. [In particular, in pursuit of these objects (but not otherwise) the Society may:!
5.1.acquire an interest in or ownership of the Club;
5.2.secure democratic and accountable representation on the Club’s Board;
5.3.take any other steps in relation to the Club which enable it to exercise the greatest possible influence in the ownership, governance and management of the Club.

They want SISU gone because somewhere along the line someone has made them a promise of shares and interest in the club, they are invested in the trust for themselves at the detriment of the club and the fans they are supposedly representing! Why else is it only ever a SISU bashing exercise for them, they cant see past their blinkers.

Neil keeps saying people are making things up about him but won't say where, meanwhile makes things up about others to try and get away from the point

Would have much more respect for them if they just said things will change and actually changed their approach rather than lying to people like this.

Quite... I'm still trying to get an honest answer out of him!

You will just get some spin and they will pretend they don't know.

Same as every time.

He said that spin is a bad form of PR, he has done nothing but that since.

Who was new to the board except him?

How can he pretend he has no idea? "IF" that is true.

It is true, it's on video!

David Johnson who was heavily involved in that has recently joined the Trust board, doesn't really back up his point.

Well done Pete, obviously doing a phone interview with someone you presumably haven't met a bit daunting but you stuck to the facts and didn't take the bait, despite Phil trying to get you to slag the trust off (which would be the sound bite he was looking for). It must have been hard to bite your tongue, given the amount of bizzare, abusive or dissinformative tweets and statements put out by other groups.

It's funny that this place was dissed by the chosen few who the media turn to when anything kicks off over the City. But a thoughtful statment, targetted to the right people, has sent many of those "experts" into a social media frenzy of back tracking. If nothing else, it should wake those people up to the fact the fans are not happy and not stupid.

They scoffed at the numbers, but this is the only real place where a lot of fans have actively been polled, made aware of all sides of the coin, and can actually have a voice towards the discussion. Lets hope this isn't a one off and you are in CWR's phone book next time they want a quote from the "fans" - because of the interactivity, STB can become more representative than the chosen few on the STB.

Good post mate.
Though there was also a sizable poll on Twitter which asked does the trust represent you? (or words to that effect), and the result was a resounding no.

I wish they'd listen more to what's going on outside of their orbit. We don't need a new supporters group (more division) we just need them to do their job.
Despite what people say there are some good people involved (As well as the vocal arseholes often mentioned on here).

Exactly, it isn't just here.

So we’ve basically broke the trust? What this comes from is pure arrogance to think they can push any agenda they want.

What we’re seeing now is the loss of control from the trust - Neil is responding more and looking weaker and weaker.

they need to just disband now, or even start again

I was thinking it might be worth asking Tifo to do a video on it. They’ve done one on our finances before and something this convoluted seems right up their street
Deffo, should help people get their heads round it, especially neutrals

People are only asking him basic questions, he has a PR company but ties himself up.

People just want all sides to be pressured, they will do everything they can to not do it and bullshit people.

Pretty well received on the Facebook forum.
Although I am loathe to often look at that site.

Anyone know the bellend James Bimbi? He seems to slag off anyone not frothing to burn Sisu at the stake, or anyone who is anti Wasps/CCC/Cov Telegraph.
