Honestly, I think the best thing we can do is just ignore him. Let him say what he wants to say...free speech and all that.

Lets focus on what we can control, rather than what we cannot. I think people are starting to see the wood through the trees (or whatever that saying is) which makes his statements stand out even more. Leave him to it, don't bother engaging.

He'll get bored if no one interacts.

Sadly though, he's now the voice of the Trust and strangely the one speaking to the media. Now the Indemnity has been pointed out, he is strangely trying to ignore this to just go on about building a new stadium.

It really is pathetic. We know the same as they do there will never be a new stadium. They must assume either people are deluded or it's simply another childish stick to try and beat SISU with rather than trying to bring factions together for the greater good. He's the newest face too, the one that was going to help change things but is as bad or worse than the others. It really is beyond ridiculous that they're supposed to represent us. The purpose of the trust is to improve fan involvement in running the club. That’s why I’m not sure campaigning is their best use TBH. Reflecting the opinions of the fan base should be though.

Yeah that’s what I mean about campaigning, it’s pushed them away from the Owners chasing a dream at first it seems of getting an owner more open to fan involvement, but in the long run it’s not helping their aims.

No change there, it was funny watching them feed him facts before which were completely wrong and because they were nasty SISU ones he believed and repeated them.

This is why he won't engage, every time he does everything he says just loses them more credibility.

All they have to do to get an open meeting is send them an open letter promising negative press and protests if they don't meet.

Exactly, it would be in the telegraph with "SISU silence fans group" as a headline.

They genuinely don't seem to be able to see anything from outside of their 5 or 6 people.

He said they wont call wasps out as they want to communicate and not shout at people, within about 5 messages he was back to shouting about SISU.

I hear what you and G are saying but surely there will come a point were they will *have* to engage in dialogue with representatives of here or elsewhere. It's surely the only way they can survive going forward.

We need to stop all this 'yeah but they won't talk to us' and the 'look what so and so is coming out with now on twatter'. I believe, rightly or wrongly, we need to have some sort of plan in place to engage in discussions with them on how we unite the fan base (as much as we can) going forward.

If you offer a petulant child who won't listen, some sweets, they listen. It's how you pitch that which is key. This 'support us in getting Wasps to drop the indemnity' obviously isn't working.

Constitutionally, the Trust isn't working as well as they think they are. Let's use the knowledge and ideas from here to put something more robust that we can take to them in a more structured manner, rather than constant back and forths on Twitter and on here.

What we need is another press statement that would be agreed by the trust? Maybe reiterate their letter and imploring Wasps to respond. Or we suggest that Coventry fans won’t be as receptive as before?

I have tried over and over again to get them to try and build some sort of bridge with the Trust and members on here. I have offered moderated forums where a section with constructive views and ideas can be made. People can put forward discussions for upcoming meetings etc.

It's like banging heads against a wall because they have no interest. Whilst people like CJ say it's a great idea there are others who have no interest in working with other fan groups / forums in the slightest and they seem to have the overall say.

When MMJ's fundraiser was going on, it was a battle with them to even tweet about it. CJ said he had to persuade them to tweet about it.

The trust have one aim. To install Hoffman as owner of the club and see this as an opportunity. It’s very obvious and I’ve always said they should just admit it and sell it to the fan base. One of the Trust board has had discussions with Wasps about a Phoenix Club playing at the Ricoh. Surely that's worrying in it's self?

Was this all done over electronic comms?

I'm not saying it would necessarily make any difference but would setting up a meeting with a number of people from here and the SBTr board be a better way of moving forward? At least that way, get everyone around the table and have constructive discussions. Using the info you've previously given, taking some suggestions to them, listening to their aims/goals (don't laugh) and see if we can support in a better manner.

Not necessarily easy to organise but I'd be happy to facilitate.

Anyway, maybe I'm jumping ahead as I think Pete is waiting on responses from other parties with regards to our statement this week before looking ahead at next steps. Working WITH the trust seems logical. I appreciate it wouldn't be easy to get them to listen but that depends on what we take to them and just as important, how we take it to them.

I am more than happy for somebody else to speak with them and even moderate a section on here for them if they are going to actually use it and engage.

Don't hold your breath though, they will just say everything they can to stop being questioned. It is the same as happens everytime, even to the point of the victim act.
