Naturally he didn't want to miss such a big match especially with his Villa background but players aren't always honest about whether they are really fit to play

Yep. I was absent from Henley Tech. that afternoon as I was visiting the dentist.

I'd just finished at Henley and was just out of my apprenticeship at Herbert's.
They had us doing a three day week and as I was on nights I had to work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Played havoc with the weekend activities. No football or Speedway for me for a while

Freezing cold, dark, game 3 hours away so not practical with work... what Ifollow was made for.

Honestly can’t call this one. Head says we are due a loss and normally would there but they keep surprising me every week. Would be happy with a point and delighted with a win.
