Bet there’s a slight tinge of upset from the naysayers earlier. Even if it’s only 0.001% it’s still there. Hence still defending themselves on here 3 and a half hours after the match.

Great laugh.

No-one is upset we won. Don’t be ridiculous. Some don’t like posters on here constantly policing what others are allowed to say.

You’re the one who relied to my post about the performance and turned it into a discussion on the result, not me.

Last three games I’ve seen we haven’t played particularly well so that’s all I can go off. Performance level gives an idea of how we might get on in future games.

I’m desperate to see us go up automatically this season, but we’re going to have to perform better than we current are to do that in my opinion.

I've seen us outplay teams so many times and get beat

Last season it happened numerous times.
We're getting to the business end of the season now and, admittedly not a position I'm used to seeing us in, but it's all about getting points on the board

I can guarantee you the teams around us aren't playing silky tika taka.
We've been treated to some great stuff this season so far, now it's all about what we saw today, winning by hook or by crook.

Don’t disagree, but Birmingham were in same boat and they looked outstanding last night in their away win to high flying Bristol city

Agreed.

In fairness, our 2020 schedule has been packed with extra FA Cup games. For me, you could tell the squad is pretty tired since we chose to only bring on 1 sub today in the 90 minutes.

My Wycombe supporting mate joked that we left it late to grab the win. I said we played pretty poorly and gave them too many chances. His response is interesting, saying: ‘it’s about winning the games where you’re playing shit’ and added that he reckons we’ll win the league.

From that perspective, today is the typical kind of game where we would have not won, or even lost in past seasons.

This team has a knack of just getting the job done, even if it isn’t pretty. Credit where it’s due.

For me we simply had an off day and my over riding emotion at the end was relief!
The sign of a great team is winning when you don’t play well and that was us today.
Play up Sky Blues - on now to Tuesday!!

Not even commenting on the performance. Don't care. 3 points thank you. We know we're better than that and we have a great chance to show it on Tuesday. I'm enjoying my evening and won't even try to deconstruct today's game. We won.

Thats how you reply to a devastating defeat after conceding in the 92nd and 120th minute after outplaying an inform team from a league above.....you score a 90th minute winner in the next game. Dressing room bounce restored. Up the football league we go. The end.

It’s another three points,I think we all agree it doesn’t matter how they arrive.
Still unbeaten in 11 games,We are still going under the radar on sky and bbc,They are getting off on peterbro and Sunderland and Pompey let’s just keep winning 2-1 and win this league!!

Il be honest, I was very unhappy at 1-1, couldn't see a goal coming with the team clearly tired and 2 unused subs... I started to lose my shit a bit at the match.

However

We won and I'm at home a happy man.

Just been looking at the remaining fixtures.... not just for us...last day of the season Rotherham v Sunderland...Have too say Rotherham's remaining fixtures must make them favourites to go up automatically and of course they already have the points on the board. Can't see us overtaking them even if we beat them in our head to head...makes game against Pompey even more important ..I think we are in for a nail biting season end,but sooooo excited and nervous

At the end of the day, its three points. How we get them, matters not. As long as we get them.

We all know this club well enough by now to know that against a team at the bottom, we struggle. Today, we found a way to win. It was never going to be an easy ride with City, it never is. It wouldn't be any fun if it was.

If any team in the EFL are going to come from behind or from conceding an equaliser it’s Coventry City!!
A game lasts for 90 mins plus added time so I suggest everyone keep their hats on before mouthing off and wait for the game to actually end FFS!

Thats the thing

When eill we ever see a season agaib with so little losses?

Fucking if you cant enjoy it now when can u?!
Some people never will, but it’s driven by this stupid habit of wanting to be seen as an ‘expert’, like they know more and can see things the rest can’t- I mean some of them are actually in the ground while the match is on in front of them, but start typing up stupid negative comments on here.

It was terrible for 80 minutes. I do think it will be better on Tuesday. Night games are generally better and the importance of the fixture and big away following will hopefully raise the volume a bit.

I don't think I can do another season there, it's soul destroying. So much credit to Robins and players for how they are handling it. The last 2 league games have been worse than Northampton. I'm serious.

Yeah, the matchday experience is awful.

Even the roost is losing its novelty.

Need to be back at the Ricoh ASAP.

Who isn’t enjoying it? No-one on here didn’t wildly celebrate our winner today.

Where has this idea that if you don’t shower the team with unending praise no matter the performance then you’re not a “real fan” or “not enjoying it” come from?
Where has this idea come from that berating & slagging off the team and the manager during the game does anything productive?

I’m sure Mark Robins has Sky Blues Talk opened up on his laptop on the sidelines as the game goes on, you’re right. Just because people vent their frustrations on this Internet forums doesn’t mean they’re doing the same in the stadium.

Yes it does, a proportion of them are in the ground at the same time as posting absolute bullshit on here.

Excuse for what?? I have given my fair view, agree or not it don't matter. You are doing "Excuse for what??" to several posters hoping for a bite. I won't lower myself to your level.

What are you on about ‘hoping for a bite’? Criticising today’s performance?

Had a very clear view of what happened.
Horrendous challenge. O'Hare had to have several stiches.
I'm fine but pissed off about a footballer trying to deliberately seriously injure a fellow pro.

I like to think that players at our level don’t go in for that but looking at it again...yeah.

It doesn't always work like that though does it? Remember Wycombe were 10 points ahead of us not so long ago and looked uncatchable.
